Hi there! My name is Georgie. I am a French Bulldog, estimated to be about 3.5 years old and I weigh 16lbs. I am a beautiful gray color with tan mixed in.

I came into rescue as a medical case because the shelter didn’t know what was wrong with me. After lots of tests and time, I have been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. I have chronic diarrhea that I will always have. I need to have my bottom wiped after every potty. I am potty trained to go outside but I can also use puppy pads at night time so my human can sleep. I usually have to go potty every 2-3 hours.

Because of my UC, I am very skinny as I have a hard time digesting and absorbing my food. I am currently on a prescription food, this is the food that has been the easiest on my tummy. We tried multiple different foods. When I have a flare up, I need to be on steroids. We tried one kind but I had reactions to it. Luckily we tried another kind and it seemed to help me get over the worst of the flare up and it isn’t very expensive for my hooman to buy.

I am the sweetest girl that loves to snuggle my hooman, I have to be touching my foster mom at all times. I don’t like cold weather so I will need sweaters and boy oh boy am I so cute in them. I love to chew on and play with stuffed animal toys and tennis balls. It took me a while to learn what toys are but now I love them. I also like to wrestle with my foster doggie siblings. Because of my UC I cannot have treats or extra foods mixed into my diet. I have to maintain a very strict diet for my health and well being. I am a home body, new things and stress cause my diarrhea to get worse. So my new home will have to be with someone who is home most of the time.

Georgie also has some bone deformities that are obvious when you see her. She was born without tailbone vertebrae so she just has a shorter back. This does not cause her any pain at all, it’s just something people notice when they see her. She still runs and plays, though she does struggle sometimes with jumping so she just gets picked up.

I love other dogs, cats, and especially kids and people! I enjoy being picked up and cuddled. And snuggling on the couch is an absolute must!

Theo is available for adoption!!

Hi there! My name is Theo. I am a German Shepard Dog, born on 08/28/24. I weight approximately 15lbs right now but I am still gaining weight since I came to the rescue very skinny.

I spent my whole life outside until coming to Willow Haven and man was it a change when I started living inside. I was happy but scared at the same time, lots of crying and fussing. Luckily I’m a brave boy and my foster mommy knows how to handle scared babies. I am now crate trained with only a little protest on my part. I am working on my potty training! I know what door leads to outside and when I have an accident it’s always back by the door.

I absolutely love other dogs and cats! I play with dogs of all sizes and I just love it. I can be a little rough so another big dog in my new home would be fun! I like cats too, though I do sometimes chase them. I love toys! Like really, really love toys! I’m just a happy house puppy now! I’m even brave when we go outside to potty. I used to stay right by my foster mommy but now I just wander the whole back yard.

Meeko is available for adoption!!

Hi, my name is Meeko. I am approximately four years old and a Chihuahua mix. I weigh 13lbs. I was surrendered by my owners to a local shelter. I unfortunately was not doing well at the shelter at all. I am very fearful now and confused.

I am very fearful and will require patience! I have fallen so in love with my foster mommy but am still timid around anyone else. I am perfect for my foster mommy now that I trust her, she tells me how special I am all the time! I absolutely love other dogs and cats. I must have another active small dog(s) in my new home because they give me so much confidence and show me how to act. I love to zoomie around with my foster doggie siblings. I’m surprisingly quick.

I cannot live with any kids because of my fears. I will bond with one person to start and then with time and lots of patience I will warm up to another adult in my new house. I am so deserving of love I just really hope someone will take a chance on me!!

I am crate trained and potty trained. I have free roamed in my foster home when my foster parents are gone, I do really well with it but I also spend some time in my crate and I’m ok with that too!

Ta-Mater is available for adoption!!

Hi there! My name is Ta-Mater, like the character in the Cars movies. I am approximately two years old and am believed to be a Chihuahua/Pug mix. I weigh 13lbs. I was surrendered to a shelter when my hoomans moved and didn’t take me with them. I was so scared in the shelter, I just didn’t understand what happened.

I am a happy, happy little dude! I absolutely love all people and animals! I would do well in a home with kiddos but it isn’t a must I have kiddos! I must have other dogs to play with in my new home, I even like cats! I do try to play with them. I will need an active person/family because I have lots of silly energy to get out. I would love a fenced in yard too so I can have my zoomies outside. I will of course zoomie all around the inside too! And watch out when I have the zoomies inside because I’ll come out of nowhere and jump on you to give you so many kisses! I’m super fast! Every time I do it my foster mommy squeals and I just keep doing it!

I love stuffed toys and tennis balls. I will play tug and keep away with my stuffies. When I’m all done playing my hoomans lap is where you’ll find me. My foster mommy tells me I’m a great snuggler! I’m a little nervous when I travel in the car but I should be able to get better at it with time. I enjoy walking on a leash though I will need some training with it so I can be the bestest boy on leash. I am crate trained and finishing up my potty training.

🐾 Everyone please welcome Theo to Willow Haven! This little German Shepard Dog was born 08/28/24 and came to the rescue last week. He was living outside until coming to us but now he is catching on to the spoiled house life! He is your typical happy, happy puppy, loves everyone he meets including kids, loves dogs and cats! He is working on potty training and crate training and will need to continue this in his new home. He has been dewormed, received one puppy shot, and is microchipped. He will be available for adoption soon! 🐾

Tater is available for adoption!!

Hi! My name is Tater. I am a 9 year old Pomeranian weighing in at 13lbs. I am overweight and am on a diet that will need to be continued in my new home.

I am such a sweet boy! I love all people including older kids! I would love a home with another small dog and I even like kitties! What can I say I’m pretty perfect! I shouldn’t live with elderly people or young kids because I am a trip hazard, I will just stop walking in front of people and sit down. I love to walk around and smell all the smells when on a walk and in the backyard, I do need a fenced in yard.

I do not like being crated at all but am a good boy when left out. I am not 100% potty trained and do require a belly band. I would really love a home where someone is home with me most of the time. My last home I had a mommy and I loved hanging out with her all the time. I absolutely love water and even bath time! And I get my hair blow dried and I’m brave and not scared.

I love to make friends everywhere I go, even at the vets office I made friends with all the hoomans there. When I ride in the car my foster mommy’s puts a seatbelt on me and I just love it! Please know that since I am a Pomeranian I will require regular grooming.

🐾 Frank the Tank has been adopted! This sweet boy came to us from a local shelter after having double cherry eye surgery. He healed perfectly and just excelled at being a house doggie. He loves dogs, cats, kids, never met a stranger! Potty trained and crate trained, he was such an easy pup to take care of. He gets a mommy, daddy, two hooman kids, and a kitty sibling! This family had been looking for the perfect low energy pup to fit into their family and boy oh boy did they find a perfect boy!

🐾 Everyone please welcome Ta-Mater (Cars movie reference) to Willow Haven! Mater came to us from the shelter with Meeko last week. He is 2 years old, believed to be a Pug/Chihuahua mix, and weighs in at about 13lbs. He was pretty scared and shut down in the shelter and would just cry and scream. Now that he is back in a home he is doing so well! He was an owner surrender because they were moving and couldn’t take him. His little heart is healing and he is such a character! He’s super active, happy all the time, LOVES dogs of all sizes and cats, and loves all people. He must have another active dog in his new home, a fenced in yard so he can run all around like he loves to do, and ideally some kiddos to grow up with! He is finishing up some potty training and he is crate trained too. 🐾

🐾 Everyone please welcome Meeko to Willow Haven! This sweet little chihuahua mix was busted outta the shelter last week to join us here at the rescue. He is about 4 years old and weighs in at about 10lbs. He was absolutely terrified in the shelter and wouldn’t let many people touch him or even approach him. Since being with his foster mommy, he is starting to relax a bit more each day. He likes other dogs of all sizes and doesn’t care about cats. No kids for this boy though. He is still extremely fearful and will be hanging with his foster home for confidence building. This specific foster home has worked absolute miracles with other scared babies so he’s in good, safe hands! 🐾

🐾 Everyone please welcome June to Willow Haven! This beautiful pittie mix has been dealt a rough hand at life so far but that is all changing now! No more living outside for this sweet girl! She now gets to learn what it’s like living inside a house and being a spoiled house girl!! She is good with dogs and loves kids! She needs to complete her vetting and then she will be available for adoption! Stay tuned for this beauty! 🐾

About a month ago or so, we decided Kira was going to stay with the rescue forever. She was fragile and just didn’t seem like she could handle more heartbreak by leaving her foster mommy. We were so excited to welcome her on as a hospice forever bebe. Unfortunately we had to lay her to rest way sooner than we ever thought expected. Our sweet girl started losing the use of her back legs last week and was in immense pain. We rushed her to the vet when she fell the first time and couldn’t get up, just laying there screaming. After a full workup including X-rays we just weren’t ready for the news. Kira was in heart failure and the vertebrae in her neck were crumbing resulting in pinched nerves. Devastated didn’t even begin to describe what her foster parents felt. We opted to try treatment but within three days sweet girl told us she was done. She just didn’t have it in her. We laid this beautiful, sweet, amazing girl to rest and set her free to be with her hooman daddy! He was the love of her life and they are together again. Please, please send prayers for us all, she was just the bestest girl.

🐾 Everyone please welcome Kobe to Willow Haven! This handsome boy was found as a stray and a great family took him in while trying to find his owners. After several months and exhausting options, he has made his way to us so we can finish vetting him and find him his new forever! This biggo blockhead is an American Bulldog, about 1 year old, and weighing in around 65lbs. He has never met a stranger! Loves every human instantly. He does well with other dogs and rides perfectly in the car! All he wants is to play, snuggle, and eat! He’s going to make someone a perfect companion! He will be available for adoption in a few weeks! 🐾
