I couldn't be any prouder of my show dogs!!! 4 days in Springfield, Missouri. Ozark Dog Show. Kitty won winner's bitch three of the days and Best of Winners 2 days earning 6 points towards her championship. Otley Memories R Made of This "Kitty".
BB GCHB Full Throttle's Deadeye Daisy! Won Best of breed all for days with some nice competition challenging her everyday. Thank you to judges Dana Cline, Karen Hynek, David Kirkland and Vicki Abbott. And thanks so much to my wonderful dog show handling daughter Gracie taking Kitty back in to get the best of winners.
Great weekend with my Hubby Roy Bartholomay daughter Gracie Bartholomay and our dogs. It's a beautiful venue, wonderful club members, friendly workers that all work extremely hard to put this show on. Kudos and many thanks to them all. We traveled with three adult dogs and two 11-week-old puppies everyone was well behaved. It was actually a fun and relaxing weekend Believe it or not!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!

A mysterious and often fatal condition called gallbladder mucocele has puzzled veterinarians for decades. Now, Dr. Jody Gookin and her team have discovered that it’s linked to malfunction of the CFTR protein, the same protein involved in cystic fibrosis in humans.

This is the first known “cystic fibrosis-like” disease in dogs that isn’t caused by a genetic mutation, but instead develops over time. The finding opens entirely new avenues for understanding, preventing, and treating this life-threatening disease.

It’s a remarkable leap forward in both veterinary medicine and our understanding of shared biology between dogs and humans.

I have given this much thought over the last 2 days. I looked at it from every angle and aspect. For me it comes down to the reason we exhibit our animals in AKC conformation shows. To evaluate our breeding stock. The AKC limited registration status was to define purebred animals to compete in performance events. The following was copied directly for the AKC'S website page defining limited registration.

An AKC Limited Registration means the dog is a purebred registered with the American Kennel Club, but its offspring are ineligible for registration. This registration type is primarily used for companion or "pet" quality dogs and prevents the dog from competing in AKC-licensed conformation (breed) shows, though it can participate in all other AKC sports like agility, obedience, and rally.

As a 35-year breeder of AKC registered purebred dog I only sell my puppies with limited registration. Any puppies deemed possible show prospects are sold on a full registration status and with an extremely legal worthy contract. I am not sure why they think this is a smart idea? Monetary reason is the only benefit to AKC I can see. How can we have our pet/companion dogs go into the conformation as breeding stock? I just can't get there. I for one would stop registering puppies as limited and the pet/companion puppies would go to their homes with no AKC registrations rights. I could also put a stipulation in my contract that limited registration puppies are prohibited form exhibiting in the puppy sweeps or regular conformation ring.

How far is the American Kennel Club willing to stray from its original and long-time values? I feel this will change the fancy forever and I don't this it will be a benefit. What will be next? Mixed breeds allowed into the conformation ring to evaluate them as breeding stock? Perhaps? However, I will no longer participate in AKC in any way, shape or form if they continue to devalue what we have fought so long to maintain.

I hope my voice and the voice of the fancy will be heard.

August 30, 2025 GCH CH Full Throttle's Deadeye Daisy! "BB" Whelped 3 puppies out of CH Picer He's The Guvna. Just 3 days old today. BB is a very attentive mom. 1 blue & tan male/ 1 blue & tan female/ 1 grizzle female.

August 19, 2025 CH Picer A Lovely Bit "Crumpet " whelped 5 puppies in 3 hours! Sired by GCH CH Full Throttle's To The Manor Born FDC DCAT CGCA CGCU TKI "NED" Owned by Tania Rogers. Crumpet's puppies are 2 weeks old today!
1 Grizzle male/ 3 Grizzle girls/ 1 Blue & tan girl. I am so pleased of Crumpet for having a stellar whelping and who she is doting over her 5 beautiful puppies!!
