There are so many misconceptions about reactivity and so much impatience from the public it can make going out with your reactive dog a miserable experience for you and therefore gets cut short and therefore, not as enjoyable for your dog.

When I've got my reactive dog out and she has a bad day, it's not her reaction that makes me take her home - it's people's ๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’ to her ๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’„๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’. Why are they allowed to express their feelings but she isn't?

When a person ๐’“๐’†๐’‚๐’„๐’•๐’” because they are overwhelmed by stimuli, they are offered help, they are understood, they are given space and time to ground themselves and the choice to leave or have a time out.

Let's ask people to do the same for our ๐’๐’—๐’†๐’“๐’˜๐’‰๐’†๐’๐’Ž๐’†๐’… dogs ๐Ÿ˜Š

No homechecks or visits because we ain't had any applications for a month now!

But we can't stop! We are still getting daily requests to take pound dogs, foreign dogs with no rbu and UK surrenders. We also have one of our own perrera dogs being returned due to their owner's ill health.

We are having a wee shuffle as Limbo is scared of children and Sooty needs a trustee so...

January is the slowest month ever ๐Ÿคฏ and unfortunately we are already getting lots of requests to take dogs in for rehoming which we'd love to be able to do but we need to reach some people that are looking to adopt so that we can make room!

His pal Charlie loaned Thumper his humans to go on a lovely walk and they said he's well named because he was hopping about like a giant bunny ๐Ÿคญ
