Unfortunately we didn’t get our hike yesterday due to adverse weather conditions 🌫️😞

Rescheduled hike date is 𝙎𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙮 the 23𝙧𝙙 of 𝙉𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧. Really hoping we get a clear day for it as we have some exciting plans 😊

🐾 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙞𝙛 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙥𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙤 𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙪𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮 🐾

Little miss Nola completed her first two Munros a couple of months ago, here she is on the summit of Driesh, she did amazing and only had to go in the pup sack a couple of times ⛰️🐾💜

Weather depending Megs & I plan to run our next full day Munro experience on 𝚂𝚊𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚍𝚊𝚢 the 𝟿𝚝𝚑 𝙽𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛!

We only have 𝚃𝚑𝚛𝚎𝚎 spaces available for this one and due to the colder months soon arriving this will most likely be our last one of 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 🫶🏽✨🤎

𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙝 (1,001 m) ✔️⛰️

Yesterday Megs & I had the pleasure of taking 5 fantastic dogs out on yet another memorable full day hike 🏔️

We had originally planned for Saturday but the weather conditions were unsafe & didn't allow so we opted for Sunday instead ☺️

There were a few rain showers but they didn't last long and once they cleared it brightened up again which allowed us to take in the beautiful views of the rest of the Lawers range to our left and Loch Tay to our right- we really are so lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the world 😍 you could never get tired of Scotlands scenery 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

It was Jimmys very first hiking hounds experience and he totally thrived from start to finish, he was such a well behaved boy as were the rest of the pack!

Betsy was as sassy as ever, she was barking orders at us all to "hurry up" and her & Arlo (the seasoned Munro bagger 😆) enjoyed a leisurely dip in the peat bogs and the burns on their way to the summit 🤦🏽‍♀️😆 - it was Betsy's 𝟑𝐫𝐝 & Arlos 𝟔𝐭𝐡 Munro with us, they're both brilliant pups 🫶🏽

Rizzo enjoyed her day as she always does and equally enjoyed her cuddle duty's which she takes very seriously when it comes to Megs & I on our days out 🤣💜 she's a brilliant wee babe- it was her 𝟓𝐭𝐡 Munro with us 🫶🏽

And of course the CEO came out for the day- he had FOMO before he even opened his eyes yesterday morning 😂🤦🏽‍♀️🤎

Thanks again for allowing us to spend the day with your beautiful pups, we enjoyed every moment with them as we do on all the hikes and it's always a huge privilege spending the whole day with them making lovely memories and building an extra bond and most importantly it's so special to see them happy & completely in their element 🫶🏽

Weather dependant we are thinking about running the next one in September 🥰

💫⛰️ Another full day hike completed with an amazing wee pack, we're so proud of them 💫⛰️

We had our trial walk today for Saturday and we're soo excited to take these four beautiful pups out with us!

The weather is looking perfect for us atm so here's hoping it stays that way 🏔️😍🤞🏽

💫⛰️ A wee note for the owners who's pups will be joining us next Saturday the 6th of July on the full day Munro experience ⛰️💫

We plan to do a trial walk next Wednesday afternoon- the 3rd of July!

A wee pic up on the summit of Càrn Liath last September with a great little squad 🐾🥰📸

With the weather currently being a bit unpredictable, we are planning on running our next full day Munro experience in September once Autumn arrives, so we are looking to run our next hike on 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 the 𝟮𝟭𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 🍂⛰️🐾🥾

𝙎𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪 ⛰️- This will be a partially leashed hike using waist belts, and it will only include a maximum of up to FOUR/FIVE dogs! The hike will only take place if the weather conditions are safe and clear for the day ahead! It will take place on one of the beautiful dog-friendly mountains amongst the Perth range, and we can absolutely guarantee they will have the best & safest day out, last years & recent hikes and the feedback we received are testament to this!

⛰️ 𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙨𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 & 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙥𝙪𝙥 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙪𝙨 ⛰️- It is very important that your dog has good to great recall & obedience and can travel well for long periods of time! We also ask that they have good fitness levels and you are certain of their capability to walk & climb for up to 8-12 miles at a time including over steep terrain and we also ask that your dog is over 𝗧𝗪𝗢 years of age- this is essential!

Spaces will be on a first-come, first-served basis; this opportunity is open to existing Amy's Happy Trails clients ONLY and a trial walk will take place beforehand to ensure dogs are compatible together IF they haven't already met before 🤍

𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙚: Deposit will not be required for hikes this year as you all know weather can change right up until the last minute and cancellations/rescheduling may take place if it's not safe to go ahead with our planned day 🤎

𝘾à𝙧𝙣 𝙂𝙤𝙧𝙢 (1,029 m) ☑️🏔️

Today was an AMAZING day, all 9 miles of it ⛰️

And these pups made us soo proud 💪🏽

The weather was everything we could have asked for and allowed us to take in the views of the Lawers range & Schiehallion ⛰️ what was extra special is that they all got on especially well and their energy just flowed together as a pack 🐾

Betsy got her snow patches at the summit so she enjoyed a good wee roll around in it ❄️

Arlo & Nevis had a great bromance going on which helped their morale along the way 🧡😂

Rizzo & Marley were of course up to their usual playful antics- Marley adores her and she does him 🥰

To sum the day up it was something very special and will give us such amazing memories to keep 🥹🤎⛰️

We can't wait for more this year- what a start to Hiking Hounds 2024 ♥️

ONE more sleep until our first full day Munro experience of 2024 & we have a feeling it's going to be AMAZING 😜

Weather is looking great for our Munro of choice so fingers crossed it stays that way for us ⛰️🐾🥰

Some Hiking Hounds bandanas properly washed and drying!

We will defo be making a call to Chloe’s Craft Corner.. to create some more bandanas for us before the next full day hike takes place- she's amazing at what she does 🫶🏽

We can't wait for the next full day Munro experience when the weather allows, which could be sooner than we first thought... 🥰⛰️🥾🐾

A jaunt through Glen Doll and up past Corrie fee at the weekend! 🥾 👯‍♀️ 🐾

We decided to include wee Nola in our hike this time and she managed the Glen Doll walk from the car park and took in the beautiful scenery and then enjoyed a leisurely snooze for the rest of our hike... 💤 🐾

Never known a dog to get a full 2-3 hours kip in a rucksack but of course Nola did 🤣🥾🩷

She managed 4.5 miles out of 8 which was a good effort for her 🐾

What a great day! 🫶🏽
