It’s been a long summer. Frankly, it’s been a long year. As many of you know, rescues and shelters are closing down left and right due to minimal resources and support. The few of us remaining are trying to just scrape by. Google reviews like this hurt non-profits, but more importantly, they hurt the animals. Our sweet communication director responded from our WCP email (under my name) to this email with pure intentions and asked clarifying questions with no response to the questions. We are a 100% volunteer-ran organization with only a couple folks doing placements for FREE on TOP of our FULL-TIME jobs! In the 5 years I’ve been running the WCP, I’ve never shared something like this before but feel that people need to see how we are treated and under appreciated when we are some of the only people in Kentucky out here doing the damn work! All this to say — if you’ve adopted from us or worked with us in the past, please drop us a google review to help offset the unsubstantiated, hateful review.
