Forgive the Shakey camera still in covid recovery. Doing sooo much better but some effects are lingering
Dizzy, headaches and shakiness are a few. Our babies needed out time we have four with us in this. Echo is normally a loner but he/she wanted to hang and chatter. In other portions of this video he was getting head scratches and saying echo is a pretty girl.🤔. We were told he was a boy and have called echo a 'He" for over a year. However, echo might just be trying to tell us something lol.
He was so proud of himself! 🥰🥰🥰My sweet rescue Royal. He is part of the sanctuary now.
In some cases we offer sanctuary for those who's previous owners have requested us to keep and care for their babies. Others have such abusive backgrounds and tend to have neurological /PTSD from trauma that it's unsafe to re-home them.
Others if stable enough and after thoroughly evaluating potential new candidates as parronts can be rehomed.
Rehoming to the right family can sometimes take years. The reason....getting these babies to the point they trust again. But if they have had numerous homes and their health both physically and mentally has suffered, they become permanent residents. I will not put them through further trauma if at all possible!
These babies deserve so much more than a closest or constant covered cage because they learned bad behaviors from inexperienced bird owners.
Our goal is to educate adopters before they take any bird home. It will be a requirement and included in adoption fees.
We are working on putting together educational materials and classes now. Since no adoptions, classes, visits etc are happening at the moment due to covid.
He loves what momma's got. Momma has ice water.
We are doing our best to make the Tranquility Manor Bird and Sanctuary facility become more than just a dream. It's a vision and a mission we are determined to make a reality.
Biggy is adjusting well. He likes his bigger cage, heavier wire gauge and locks...😉☺️ We are introducing more toys slowly.
Even though covid 19 has put the brakes on moving forward with Tranquility Manor. We are truly blessed by God and Know that everything happens for a reason.
Meanwhile...we will continue loving and caring for these babies while we wait for things to go as God plans for them to.
So, 🎵🎶.While I wait, I will worship, Lord ill worship your name, while I wait, I will trust you, I'll trust you all the same!!!
Sometimes miracles take time....🎵🎶
Stanley Lazar His former mom loved him very much but had to move back to Turkey. So Stanley is a permanent resident for tranquility manor.
Will we ever have birds for adoption? Yes. We have a vet office in the area that is waiting for the avairies and building stucture to be in place to send us additional birds. Once we evaluate and know the birds are healthy both physically and emotionally to adopt those will be for up adoption. Home visit will be required as well as an adoption fee and application.
Mr.Kahoo is a happy, very vocal, super funny congo african grey that has absolutely chosen my husband as his person. He is about 26 -27 years old. Due to the amount of shuffling from home to home due to unexpected circumstances. Kahoo is now in his forever home at the Sanctuary.
