Happy Sunday everybody!! This beautiful girl Flo is up for adoption at Aylas Acres Animal Rescue! Flo is constantly cracking her foster family up. This sweetheart has a ton of energy for playing but when she is done, wants nothing more than a lap to curl up in!

Even though we have been quiet we have been working hard! 40+ animals have been helped by Parker's Pet Haven in its first year! With minimal volunteers and foster homes this is quite an accomplishment!

Houston animals need YOUR HELP

By now you've all seen the horrific scenes coming out of Texas as a result of Hurricane Harvey.

The shelters in Texas are full. They are transferring adoptable cats and dogs to other states in order to make room for the animals left homeless. There is a possibility that some of these animals will be coming to Florida and we've been asked to prepare for this situation. In order to prepare, we need foster homes for dogs and cats. We know that the photos and videos that you've seen really pull at your heart strings. The situation is extremely sad and hard to watch. However, we ask that when you offer to foster that you are realistic about what fostering will entail.

1. We may be receiving cats and dogs and we have not had a chance to assess their behavior. You will need to be patient with these critters and give them time to adjust. They have been through a terrible ordeal.
2. We don't know how long each animal will stay in a foster home. The animal may be adopted immediately. It may take six months to a year. You have to be willing to commit to a long-term foster situation.
3. We don't know the health of all of these animals. Some of them maybe heartworm positive or have other health issues. You have to be willing to administer medication and possible make some trips to the vet.
4. You have to be loving and compassionate with these animals. They need a safe place to land

We would supply all of the food, crates, bowls, etc. for these animals. We would pay for any health issues. Again, we just need a loving, long-term commitment from the folks that would like to foster.

This is going on Houston. This is the reality.
After things clam down there will be a desperate need for DISPLACED HURRICANE PETS. It might mean a couple week foster or they might need forever homes, we dont know yet.

Parker's Pet haven is asking you to consider opening your home to one of these animals. Some will need a long term foster until they can be reunited, some will need to find fur-ever homes.

PLEASE READ BELOW IF INTERESTED. PLEASE SHARE!
In search of a foster home for a pup. She was found at Newnans Lake close to Gainesville, FL a couple weeks ago. Flyering and social media have not found her parents. This girl needs a quiet, calm, and preferably single dog or no dog home. Also, a person who has expierence with with fearful dog. She will not be a super easy foster but I am told she does warm up it just takes time and effort.
In the mean time I will be contacting rescues to see if they could bring them into their program. I have more info on her if you are interested.

After the hurricane we realized the desperate need for a service like this. If Parkers Pet Haven can give pet parents a safe place for their fur-babies in times of disasters or emergencys we've accomplished our goal!

Just so you guys know, we will not pull any money from the GoFundMe account until we have a place for the animals. These donations are 100% to help with the animals.
For example:
Buy crates, bowls, fencing, bedding, food ect...

This group's only care is for the well being of animals and peace of mind for their familes.

This is the reality here in St. Augustine. People are generously offering homes but no pets. There was one person who instantly asked anyways about her fur-babies bc people are desperate!
