Its been a busy couple weeks with the girls!
We have had dogs shows the last 4 consecutive weekends and the girls did not disappoint.
Weekend 1
Saturday, Paris went BOB and BOBOH for another point towards her Grand over one of the top dogs in the country right now. She ended the day with a lovely Owner Handled Group 3.
Sunday, she went select and BOBOH. She also ended the day with another OHG3. That placement was the last couple points she needed towards her Owner Handled Silver level achievement!
Weekend 2
The girls and I traveled to Doswell, VA to show in a large entry of Briards.
Saturday, Paris walked away with BOS for a 4pt major towards her grand.
Brulee went reserve winner and won Best Puppy, she also walked away with a Puppy Group 3
Sunday, Paris went Select for a 3pt major (I think) to finish her Grand Championship!
Brulee went Reserve winners and showed well.
Weekend 3
Brulee and I traveled to Doswell, VA again on Sunday to show under a judge we really like. She ended up going WB, BOS and BOBOH and received really lovely compliments from the judge that made the entire trip worth it. She showed beautifully in Owner Handled groups but did not get anything.
Weekend 4
Paris showed Friday in tough competition and ultimately got no love. Shes already Granded so I did not care about earning more points. She showed well though.
Saturday, Brulee was entered. She went WB, BOW and Best Puppy for another point. She also walked away with a Puppy Group 2. She is now only 2 singlez away from her Championship and turns a year old on 7/22🥺
Sunday, Paris was entered again but I ended up pulling her. We were both tired from the previous days before so I decided she was due for a break.
I have no more shows until at least September unless I decide to enter something last minute in August😅 but we do have a couple fast cat events coming up that I am looking forward to!
We have accomplished so much in the last couple months and I could not be more proud of how my girls perform in the ring. They can be silly, goofy and even naughty outside but absolutely turn it on and act nothing but professional in the ring. Each weekend I was complimented on the girls behavior and training by judges and fellow exhibitors. There is nothing more satisfying than your competitors seeing the work you put into your dogs and recognizing you for it.
Since March, Paris has finished her Championship after trying forever to get that final major lol and she finished her Grand Championship taking multiple best of breed wins with almost all majors. She even earned herself an Owner Handled Best in Show! Brulee earned both of her majors and 13 points, including going Best of Breed over specials (beating Paris too lol) and making the cut in competitive herding groups. She has back to back Sweepstakes wins and has made an impression on each judge she has shown under. I could not be more proud of my first bred by and cant wait to see what her future holds!
