Were you ever curious what abscess gas tracks look like on a CT scan? Peep the tracks on the scan indicated by the green arrows. These kind of tracks can cause non-weight baring lameness and can take many months to move their way out of the hoof. Note the images of the hooves and where the gas pockets came out and caused quite a lot of damage to the hoof wall! This took about 4 months for the gas to move out of the hoof!
