Pups
Farm pups and kids doing farm pups and kid things.
Steps
Clara-Belle and Bob have figured out the steps. The rest just sit at the bottom and whine. I imagine in a couple days they will have enough confidence to do it too!
Emily
Emily. Picture in comments.
What we’ve observed about her so far- friendly and social, companionable, adventurous and adaptable. Less cautious than her litter mates and perhaps a bit more aloof. 🤪
Sassy. Vocal.
She has a long tail and a small white spot on her chest that has gotten smaller since birth. It will likely disappear altogether.
Sunshine
Nice day to exercise and get some sunshine. The girls feel like romping and the boys feel like napping in a pile. 😴
Puppies
Wobbly steps, the first tail wags and playful interactions are all a profound source of joy in raising puppies.
Daily interactions with wild and busy children gives these puppies lots of good socialization and a high tolerance for shenanigans and surprises by the time they graduate from the Happy Acre.

Snow day make for wild days!
Now that the puppies are weaned, Miho has his playmate back. Poor Miho was distraught that Mara would have absolutely nothing to do with him when the pups were born. They romp like this several times a day. Crouching, pouncing, tripping, wrestling.
They really are an even match! Miho is faster than Mara, but Mara has more endurance and never ending energy.
Alert and responsive. This is Mara.
I just can’t even with these puppies. 🤭 They are so stinking cute!
My mom was out earlier. She breeds another rare breed- American Hairless Terriers. She made the observation of how non-nippy the Croatian Shepherd pups are, as opposed to her hairless pups, where as the Croatian Shepherd pups are much more vocal than her pups.
It’s true. This breed likes to communicate by barking. A fine example here!
