Training and behavior are often assumed to be the same, when it’s not. Training can mask insecurities. A trained neutral dog is not the same as a people friendly dog. A confident dog in drive may not be a confident dog out of drive. Utilizing drive in training is a great way to build confidence but when we’re looking at a green or trained dog - we’re looking for dogs who already hold that confidence.
