We do not have a shelter but operate through our incredible fosters. Our mission is to improve the welfare of rabbits by educating bunny parents, advocating locally, and helping buns in need find safe, loving, indoor homes. Who's looking for a playful Dutch bun? Yin Yang is a very friendly girl who was rescued last summer. She is spayed and ready for her forever home!

Yin Yang is used to having a lot of space and needs her free roam time. She is a chewer so she will need a home that is bunny proofed. Yin Yang loves pets though and being part of the family!

Her foster family is going away in 2 weeks so we need to find a place for her. Message if you'd like to meet her!

PSA HERE.
We are heartbroken to share that Sienna passed today. Cancer that had metastasized was discovered, and she crashed while recovering from her spay and surgery to remove the masses.

Sienna was found in a neighborhood after being out for several weeks and she came to us on February 2nd. It's devastating that she had such a short time in a proper home with love. She even had a loving couple excited to adopt her next week 😭😭😭

Please let this be a lesson. SPAY/NEUTER YOUR BUNNIES!!! ‼️‼️

😞 Unfixed female rabbits have about an 80% chance of uterine cancer.

😞 Unfixed male rabbits have about a 50-60% chance of testicular cancer.

It's disappointing that some vets who are not rabbit savvy will discourage the procedure. Always see a rabbit savvy vet. The risk of cancer is far greater than the risks associated with surgery. Having fixed close to 600 bunnies, we have lost only 4 to underlying conditions.

Two other bunnies in our care, Twila and Darby also had cancers removed last week during their spays.

Buns can get fixed at 6 months old. The risk of cancer greatly increases after about age 3. Don't wait.

Clementine underwent surgery today! 🥺🏥

She is doing well tonight and recovering with Dr. Pardini at Wildside - Avian and Exotic Animal Health Center down in Palm Beach county, who is taking great care of her.

We rescued Clementine last week with abscesses on both sides of her face and in obvious pain. It's a result of severe dental disease stemming from poor diet (living homeless outside. Neighborhood bunnies are not fine!). Dr. Pardini had to remove her top molars on both sides and marsupialize (a stitching technique) the abscesses.

Dr. Pardini said:

"Her dental disease was severe, and the abscesses would not have improved without extractions due to how deeply connected they were. Even with the extractions, her recovery will be a long process, and we will need to monitor her closely. And complications, like recurring abscesses are a possibility.

She will require multiple follow-ups and potentially additional procedures depending on how she heals. We will need to closely monitor her bottom arcades as well. She is one of the worst dental disease cases I have treated, so we will need to be very proactive in managing her recovery."

Clementine's surgery was $1860 and we will need to make more visits down south for follow ups. We're so grateful for Dr Pardini for her expertise and care. She is one of only two exotic vets that we know who will perform dental extractions on rabbits. We don't yet have a vet in Brevard who will do that procedure because of the risk of bleeding and bone fracture. Clementines follow-up appointments will be to monitor the infection and healing.

We're still working on catching her bonded friend, Big Sal and hope to have them reunited! These bunnies have been living on the street for at least 3 years. They deserve a better life.

If you'd like to contribute to help Clementine, we need to order more fluids ($15), and could use help with gas money for the trips down south, as well covering the follow up appointments. We will be posting auction items this week as well, so keep an eye out!

Goodnight from Snowflake ❄️💙🌛

I met her at foster Anne's tonight and she came right up and booped me and put her head against mine. 🥲

She's so happy to be in a home. I think she was kept in a hutch or a small cage. She has some back end weakness that we see sometimes when bunnies were living in confinement. We'll get her checked out though. I think she's middle aged or a little older.

She's SUCH a loving bun. It's a good thing we have fosters or I'd foster fail everyone. So grateful for them and the love they give to our bunnies 💙

Adorable Dutch girl just caught in West Melbourne! FOSTER NEEDED!! ‼️ 📣

Third day in a row catching released/dumped bunnies. And now there are homesteaders popping up promoting getting baby bunnies for Easter gifts for kids. 😡 RABBITS ARE NOT TOYS. And they are not starter pets. They are a 10 year commitment!

The resident who alerted us of this bun said she's been out for a few weeks. We'll get her checked out. We need a place for her to go! Please message if you can foster in Brevard. Must be indoors. We can provide a pen and supplies to get started. 🙏

We have the dumped bun! She was let go by a resident because their dog was harassing her. 😡

Foster needed asap!!‼️ Adorable white bun dumped, according to the neighbor. We need a place for this poor bunny to go. We're worried about predators. Must be indoors and in Brevard. We can provide provide a pen and supplies to get started. 🙏

Sanctuary foster needed! Yukon is looking for an extra special person, ideally with a bunny to bond! 💙🙏🙏🙏

He will stay under the rescue for the rest of his life because has an inoperable intestinal abscess.

We rescued Yukon and his brother one year ago from a backyard meat breeder 😡 They were fed bread and table scraps and could barely move in the hutch they were in. Arctic sadly passed suddenly last year.

Yukon had a baseball sized abscess removed from his abdomen last summer but the one in his intestine is too risky to operate on. 😞 It was likely caused by the garbage they were fed.

He is doing just fine right now living with it. He is neutered and about 4 years old.

He is such a sweet boy and needs someone to give him lots of love! We would really like for him to have a bunny to bond with. He's had such a rough life and deserves to live the best life ever, however long that may be.

Merritt Island!! Bounce over to bungee and see adoptable buns on Saturday at Dragonfly Yoga & Bungee Fitness!

The event is free to meet bunnies but $10 donations to bungee are greatly appreciated. 100% of proceeds will go to our rescue buns. 💙

Buns not in our care needing places!

1. Large orange bun living in a neighborhood in Orlando. She/he is fed by the residents and is friendly with the cats, but needs to be indoors. She is getting flea treatment tomorrow and may be anemic. Foster needed!!🙏

2. Spayed and neutered young bunnies from an accidental litter in Jax need forever homes! They are super cute and fixed (a couple are scheduled to be fixed). 🩷💙

We haven't shared Ozzy and Harriet in a while but they're still waiting for their forever home!🩷💙

They are such a wonderful pair and the best of both worlds! Ozzy is a big d***y, blue Beveren boy and Harriet is a darling little fluffy lionhead doll. They will let go in a neighborhood 2 years ago when we rescued them. Both are fixed and use their litter box. They love being pet. Harriet is a little timid so she would prefer a calm household. They are bonded and must be adopted together. They're used to having a bedroom to free roam. They've been so patient waiting for a forever family!

Clementine update 🥺

She saw Dr. Caruana today who performed xrays and sent out bloodwork. The xrays showed severe dental disease with badly infected tooth roots which have caused abscesses that have already healed over before. Her molars are so bad that they are growing sideways in addition to having overgrown points. Clementine is going to need multiple if not all of her molars extracted which is a risky procedure for buns.

She also had painful ear mites and has a respiratory infection. Again. THIS IS WHY DOMESTIC RABBITS ARE NOT "JUST FINE" running loose in neighborhoods. No one can say this is "living her best life".

I'm thankful that the residents who know her helped us catch her and get her to safety rather than impede our rescue efforts as so many others do.

Today's visit was over $500 and the dental surgery is also going to be costly. (We don't have the estimate yet.) Come see us on Saturday for the Bungee for Bunnies Adoption & Charity Event to raise funds for her care and have fun too! 🩷

The Spice Girls rated their namesake herbs 🌿👍 The 7 floofs here are still waiting for furever homes! They are very inquisitive and friendly and come running for treats! We think they were mishandled when they were with a hoarder and they don't let us pet them. But they may come around with more one on one time. They do love to interact though and will hop on you 😆 The girls have been with us since August and are spayed. They can't to have families who can play with them more than we can.
