This took a lot of work...

Introducing your dog to your baby is not easy nor is it quick.

We took our time to desensitize our dogs to the sounds and movements of a newborn before they were even born.

Then we put boundaries in place and made sure the dogs' commands were solid.
We wanted the dog to have a positive association to the baby:
Baby cries = treat 🍬
Stroller = walk 🐕‍🦺

Arlo is a young Great Dane pup who needed some help building confidence outside. We also worked on team building with his owners and learning how to decompress in stimulating situations.

One of my foster clients finally found his forever home ❣️ He had been in the shelter for over a 100 days and went to an angel foster home for many months.

CRUNCH 💥 sound up! Chewing is a decompression outlet that all dogs need throughout their day. A good 20-30 minutes of chewing after a stimulating activity or before crate time allows your dog to self-soothe and calm their bodies. This prevents overstimulation and anxiety. If you have a teething puppy, give them a chew or some frozen produce to help soothe them.
