The last few weeks have brought cooler weather and shorter days to Farm Nunn. And … 17 (correction … 18 🐷s!) new additions!! 😍

Our Kunekune sow, Eliza, had a full litter of 10 baby piggies on November 9th and our Large Black sow, Bingo, had her litter of 8 yesterday, November 16th! 🥰🥰🥰

All the mommas and babies are doing well and we expect Bingo’s sister, Bluey, to have her babies any day now. So there’s more to come! 😁

For those interested in purchasing one of these beautiful little ones we anticipate that they will be weened and ready around the middle to late January 2023. If you would like to discuss pricing, registration, etc. please PM us.

Yesterday we woke up to a piggie surprise. Our KuneKune sow, Eliza had her first litter of piglets. So far 6 healthy little ones. Good thing we moved her the afternoon before thinking it would be another week! We haven't decided how many we are keeping or selling. They will be registered and can be sold as pets, bacon seeds, or potentially breeding stock pending confirmation!

Farming can be tough. We lost our first chicken to a predator this week the dark colored one in the middle of this pic. We think she got out of the coop somehow or it pulled her out from under the bottom. Monica was a gorgeous barnevelder and a great egg layer. One of the original OGs of the group. Our chickens are definitely rattled as they haven’t been laying as many eggs. Thanks for the 2 years Monica.

Meet Bingo! She is new to the herd and a Large Black Pig which is the other breed we are raising now. They are an old breed out of England that almost became extinct when we industrialized pig farming to be inside in crammed houses where they don’t do well. While KuneKunes take 18 months to mature this will be between 7-12 months depending on size, oh and the get much bigger. Also Eliza doesn’t mind Charleston laying on her😂. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣

Wacky Wednesday. Pua got creative with how to get to the feed. Yes, we have Hei Hei and Pua from Moana who are both Exchequer Leghorns. When Hei Hei was a chick she just pecked on the side of the enclosure all day. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
