This is my fabulous assistant Arwen. She sometimes accompanies me to my training sessions to help other dogs learn how to socialize with each other. Arwen has a kind heart and a gentle spirit which makes her a great friend for dogs who are anxious or have not had the opportunity to socialize with other dogs. Arwen has wisdom beyond her year of life and I will be forever grateful to have her as part of my pack.

Ladybelle (formerly known as Honey) is another Refuge Rescue success story in my home. We fell in love with Honey while she was at the rescue, but she had a few behavioral issues that many dogs get while living in a shelter/rescue environment. She would get so excited anytime she saw another dog that she would not know how to react. Her initial response was to bark and try to rush at the other dog to say “hi!”. This type of reaction can be misread as aggressive behavior. I am happy to say that after working with Ladybelle on the proper ways to greet other dogs and to show her excitement we were about to adopt her and she now lives a wonderful life with our three other dogs and is happy to calmly greet any dog she meets!
