My Mom has told me several times to “hold my horses”…but where did the expression come from??

People in the 1800s didn’t have cars to take them to the next town, so horses were extremely valuable…and those horses can be strong-willed, so commands like “hold your horses” were often used to control their travels.

Education + fascination = a fun way to learn about our Planet!

Help keep your dogs safe while driving

Use tools like a crate or a body harness that secures to the seat/headrest to help keep your dog safe while driving.

Never secure a car tether to a dog’s collar (around their neck) as the impact of a crash could greatly injure their neck (use a body harness or crate instead).

We love our human kids and keep them safely buckled in the car…let’s keep our dogs just as safe while we drive!

You Get What You Pet…Dog Training Tip For People With Excited Dogs.

While not all dogs follow this rule, the majority of dogs do follow this rule!

Dogs are not logical creatures, so they rely on reading the energy and body language of the creatures around them, including us.

If your dog is excited, like when you come home, and you show them love, they are learning that their excited behavior is getting them your attention/affection.

Love is a powerful tool and can help to change behavior. Wait for your dog to calm down before you say hi and give them attention. Once your dog learns that their calm behavior gets the rewards, you will see more calmness!

An elephant’s trunk has around 40,000 muscles!!!!

Baby elephants suck their own trunks for comfort (similar to human babies), it also helps them learn how to control all 40,000 muscles in that trunk!!

They use their trunks to smell, drink, breathe, grab & move things and trumpet. Young elephants have to learn to control their trunks…the hardest part is moving it out of the way so they can nurse!
