If you didn’t already guess, the name theme is the movie My Girl. I used to love this as a child, and Thomas & Vada are just a cute pair, and I just found it funny to throw in a bee (Thomas’ deadly allergy.) Who knows this one?

Everyone is doing better than before, but we’ve still got a way to go with their little tummies before they’re fully on the “healthy” track.

I have decided to stop using the plastic litter boxes - they’re $5 and get replaced often - and go for stainless steel which will last much longer and not need to be replaced so often. The plastic gets scratched up and harbours bacteria, you see.

There are also a few other bits I need to stock up on, such as probiotics, food, filters for their air purifier, etc., so if you would like to send any gifts to the babies, there is a link in my bio to my Amazon wish list that contains all of the things we need. I update it often, so feel free to check back any time!

Meet Bumble Bee 🐝

Bee came in with a messy eye and a stuffy nose, so he wasn’t feeling his best the first night & didn’t want to be fussed over. He was great during his bath, though! Thankfully by the morning he was feeling so much better, his sweet self is shining through. He loves to be pet, even if he’s a little shy right now, and loves to play. Thomas J. better watch out, this bee might be trouble!

Meet Vada 😻

She’s the smallest right now, but she’s got a big appetite so I see her overtaking her brothers very soon. Vada was very interested to meet us as soon as she arrived, meows for attention, and loves having her face rubbed as she purrs! A confident little thing, she’s ready to be my new bestie.

Meet Thomas J.! 🧡

Thomas is a sweet little guy who loves to be pet, and cuddle his siblings. He’s an enthusiastic eater - both wet and dry, just like a big boy.
Thomas J. just wants to love and be loved, and I am certainly here for it.

Say hi to my new little friends 👋🏻

About 5 weeks old, these guys came in yesterday from WV where they were found outside with no mum around. They’re very very sweet, but a little stinky 😅 they arrived with awful tummies and in a bit of a mess - with one of them also having some URI symptoms. Of course, they got the spa treatment and started on some meds.
This morning things are already looking better - the 💩 is going in the right direction, the tabby has a clear eye now, and everybody went to town on their breakfast. Think I might have three little piggies here… which is great, as my grey friend is quite skinny!

The face of a boy who wants all your attention.. but not like that. Don’t touch me. 😸

Envy is one of the most outgoing of the bunch. He’ll always come over to greet me, and loves to play. He sits beside me a lot and stares at me, always meowing, but does the “dip” when you go to pet him - so much so that he ends up flat against the floor where I’m afraid he becomes the victim of some belly rubs that he’s a little embarrassed to admit that he absolutely loves 🤷🏼‍♀️

It’s little Pip! He’s growing fast, with his big round belly and giant paws. Yesterday he enjoyed being the star of the day as he rolled around purring & making biscuits.

And guess what! Pip’s getting a new friend very soon 😻 perfect timing, as he’s now three weeks old and is beginning to play.

Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my sweet Ava 🩵

After a long battle with her LCL, she let us know earlier in the week that she was ready to go.

I picked Ava out at an adoption event at 8 weeks old because she was poking her arm through her cage to get my attention, and when I picked her up, she flopped backwards into my arms and wanted to be held like a baby. She was a happy little thing.

Not long after, Max came along and was instantly obsessed with her.. which she very quickly realised she could do nothing about 😅

Ava was a big cuddler (on her terms). She would wrap her arms around my neck and rub her face into mine as hard as she could. She loved climbing up and lying across my shoulder, pressed up against my head.
She could be a grumpy old lady at times, but she was a sweet as could be. She loved meeting new people from a distance, and was incredibly tolerant of all the kittens that came in & out of her life. A life that was only 9 short years (just 4 weeks shy of turning 10.)

One of her favourite things was hanging out in the sun on the deck with me. And, of course, spending all day lounging around on the couch.
Ultimately, she was helped to pass very peacefully at home in her favourite spot on the couch.

While it’s a relief to know she is no longer dealing with any pain that came with her stomach cancer, she will be sorely missed.

Console Kittens update!

Let’s start with PlayStation, who found his happily ever after. I know a lot of you were invested in his forever story, after his initial foster to adopt didn’t work out.
I’m thrilled to say that he was welcomed into such a great home and is officially a member of their family.. and is now named Coconut! Here he is in the photos, snuggled up with his big sister, Sushi 🩵🍣🥥

Sega & Subaru (now Merry & Pippin) are doing great, and are no doubt being spoiled rotten in their forever home.

Nintendo, now Sam, settled in really well with his two new big sisters, and is living the good life!

Vectrex & Atari went together to a dad who was excited to welcome them. I haven’t heard much since, but they are officially adopted.

And now we wait for the next batch! 🧐

I think I’ve found my new best friend. The babies are settling in really well! They’ve come out of their shells now and have been playing this morning. Little black collar over here can’t get enough of my attention, and the others are also enjoying all the pets. Lucy update! Here she is, healing the heart of Sula (formerly Susanna) who recently lost her sister & best friend. When you adopt a pair of kittens, you never expect to lose one of them just a year later. Hearts are broken and the sibling left behind is suddenly without their bff. Adopting another kitten is never a replacement, but it can be a way of healing. Of course, not all situations are the same, but in this, Sula is just 1 year old and very much still a kitten herself. She became incredibly lonely after suddenly losing her sister and playmate. Little Lucy was the perfect fit, and they have become closer and closer over the past few weeks since adoption. Now, they share grooming sessions and play together.
