When Buddy came to us for training, we saw his personality and immediately knew that we just HAD to do Agility with him. 😊 this little boy is a BIG ball of energy & he definitely deserves this title. Congratulations to Buddy! 💯

Rio & Ginni came to us being fearful of different objects, people etc and hence would also bark alot out of fear. One of the major goals of their training programme is to build confidence & continue exposing them to different surroundings in the right manner. Once they perfected their Place command indoors, we transferred it to an outdoor setting (one with a view no less 😍). Here they are, watching the world go by, as they relax on their Place bed.

We are hiring!
We are looking for candidates to join the Dog Training Team at Mitali’s Board & Train.

This is a long term career opportunity with us and we are looking for someone who wants to become part of a team that is doing some exceptional work with dogs and people. This is not a job for people who just want to try dog training out. This is for people who are truly passionate about dogs and dog training and are looking to build a career in this field.
A few Qualities that we are looking for in candidates:
1. A Genuine interest in dogs and dog behaviour
2. Patience with humans and dogs
3. Problem-solving attitude
4. Hunger to Learn
5. Good communication skills
6. Ability to multitask
7. Preferably has their own mode of transport and lives close to Chandivali.

Priyanka is a dog trainer at Mitali’s Board & Train. Priyanka comes from a background in Graphic Design, and left her comfortable work from home job to become a dog trainer. She has been previously involved in rescue work, and has rehabilitated over 25 cats and has 2 of her own, Lola & Max. Priyanka’s very sweet and gentle nature towards dogs makes them instantly comfortable around her. Her favorite things to do are to teach them new tricks and play fetch. Priyanka loves watching mystery movies and is slowly adopting a vegan diet.

Mrunal is a Dog trainer and Social Media executive at Mitali’s Board & Train. Mrunal has also been a dog mom, and when her dog passed away she realized how much pets affect our lives. She has earned her Masters in Clinical Psychology, and based her thesis on Animal Assisted Therapy and how the quality of life, relationships and overall satisfaction is affected by the pets that people have. She joined the team as an intern, but her quick grasp over training and clear love for dogs told us she would be an excellent trainer, and we offered her a full time position. She also has a knack for social media and handles our instagram page.
She wants to learn and work on one way to help humans through dogs. In her spare time, she loves to read and her favourite show is The Office.

Aayushee is the very first employee of the Board and Train.
She left behind her career in brand management to make her career in her first passion - dogs. She has done a BA in Sociology, and has worked in content planning, writing, brand strategy and ex*****on. Today she is the Senior Trainer and go-to person at the Board and Train, and handles all customer facing enquiries, brand development, systems implementation, as well as finds time to both train dogs and help the rest of the team. Aayushee is the person to go to if you want anything done, with her magical ability (read organizational skills) to always find time in the schedule for things that we need to do. We think the dogs love listening to her because she’s always so polite yet firm, but the truth is she just loves (and is awesome at) her job. Expect the strangest of sounds should a puppy come for a consultation too! She is also ’s favourite chew toy.

Mitali Salvi is the Founder and Head Trainer at Mitali’s Board & Train. She has always been surrounded by dogs growing up, and turned her love and passion into a successful career. She is certified Canine Trainer & Behaviour Specialist from India and USA; she has trained over 700 dogs over an illustrious ten year career. Mitali is well-recognized for her result-oriented training approach to a wide variety of cases and the ability to strengthen and nurture the pet-owner relationship. She believes there is no one-size-fits-all training approach; every dog is unique and has a chance to succeed with the right guidance. She also believes that we have a responsibility to create an environment in which dogs can thrive physically and mentally.

Coco is our second graduate from our first batch! ☺️ He blossomed into a confident, energetic boy with improved obedience, who overcame his fears (one being the mighty vacuum) and got comfortable around multiple humans apart from his mom. Our team will definitely miss Coco but we’re excited to see him at home with all his newly learned training!

Meet our very first graduate - Blue! ☺️ He went home yesterday a lot more trusting of dogs & people when he has valuable resources with him. He brushed up on his obedience, human handling, improved his leash walking and has some new tricks up his sleeve. 😊 We had an in-depth training session with his parents and passed on his newly learned training onto them. They will be following a structured at-home programme given by us, to maintain and continue his training. Our team had a lovely time having Blue and we wish him and his family all the best! 🥂

Introducing Luna! Luna is a 6 month old Indie that has already been through part of her training with . Here a few more things we are working on with her.
1. Socialisation with multiple people; the plan of action is for her to handled, fed with various different people and form good relationships towards other human beings other than just her mom.
2. Her nervousness towards different objects and sounds such as metal, traffic, cars etc
3. Lastly, we are also going to brush up on her obedience.
Luna is already showing signs of progress and we’re all excited to see her power through her training at ☺️☺️

Introducing Blue!
Blue is a four month old husky puppy. A few things his parents wanted us to work on with him is
1. slight possessiveness with his high-value bones, mainly around his older brother at home. We’re working on him being patient with other dogs around, waiting for his turn, not grabbing treats from other dogs and not getting reactive when he has a bone or other treats around him.
2. A good Recall! Huskies tend to be extremely energetic dogs who love to run, therefore a good recall is extremely important.
3. His leash walking.
4. Making sure he’s a little touch sensitive.
5. Making sure he enjoys being picked up
6. And lots of fun tricks! ☺️

Introducing Coco!
Coco is very sweet excited friendly boy, and is part of the 1st batch at
A few things we are working on with him over the next 3 weeks are:
1. Resource guarding his crate. He doesn’t like it when people come close to his crate.
2. Mild food aggression.
3. Leash walking.
4. Excited Jumping while greeting. He lives with his elderly grandmother and we want to avoid any future accidents.
5. Teaching him some fun games to help his mom exercise him mentally and physically quickly and tricks to keep him busy at home while she goes to work 😀
Coco has already made a lot of progress in all aspects and we’re excited to see him do even better during his time with us at .
