Our 2024 New Grad Cohort has arrived! Join us in welcoming them to the CareVet Team. Dr. Courtney Gilmore is a born-and-raised St. Louisan who joined Town and Country Veterinary Hospital after graduating from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024. Prior to veterinary school, she attended Truman State University, where she earned a BA in Biology in 2016, and the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned a BS in Animal Science with a minor in Captive Wild Animal Management in 2020.

Her professional interests include surgery, companion animal medicine, geriatric care, exotic animal medicine, and preventative medicine. Dr. Gilmore is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Missouri Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, and the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians.

Dr. Gilmore was recently married in May 2023 to her husband David, and together, they have two dogs (Kya and Marvel) and two ball pythons (Tiki and Sweetheart). Outside of the clinic, you might find them riding their bikes on the Katy Trail or enjoying a day at the St. Louis Zoo. Dr. Gilmore and her husband are also avid Chiefs fans and love to spend Sunday afternoons cheering them on from their home in St. Peters. Other hobbies of Dr. Gilmore include reading, running, and trying new recipes.

Dr. Melanie Wendt grew up in Omaha and is so excited to be home after attending the University of Nebraska - Lincoln for her undergraduate coursework and earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree through the Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Iowa State University. She became a Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist through Chi University, and in addition to acupuncture, her professional interests include senior pet wellness, palliative care, and physical rehabilitation. When she's not seeing your pets, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Nate, their German Shorthair/Lab mix, Cali, and their friends and family doing anything outdoors or playing a board game!

Our 2024 New Grad Cohort has arrived! Join us in welcoming them to the CareVet Team. Introducing, Doctor Booth! Dr. Booth is a central Arkansas native who graduated from the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and a master’s degree in animal science before attending veterinary school. She obtained her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Missouri.

Outside of work, Dr. Booth loves spending time with her husband, their daughter Nora, and their Great Dane, Mosie. She loves reading and spending time outside! Dr. Booth and her family are so happy to finally be back in Northwest Arkansas!

Dr. Booth has a passion for clinical pathology, imaging, and preventative medicine and we can't wait to see her career flourish!
