Dear Pet Parents,

As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to every one of you. This coming January marks one year of Nika’s Happy Hounds, and I couldn’t have done it without your trust, kindness, and wonderful pets! Thank you for letting me be a part of your furry family’s lives.

Holiday Season Update
I’m excited to share that I am fully booked over Christmas, which is a testament to how amazing you all are as clients. For those who secured their holiday bookings early—thank you for your planning and trust! If you’re looking ahead to January, please note that availability is very limited:

I will be out of town from January 8th until the 19th.
Services will officially resume on January 21st, as I’ll need a day or two to recover from jetlag and ensure I’m at my best for your pets.
If you’re considering booking for late January or beyond, I recommend reaching out soon to secure your spot.

This past year has been an incredible journey filled with wagging tails, purrs, and joyful moments. I can’t wait to continue building on this foundation in the year to come. Your support means the world to me, and I’m committed to making 2025 even better for you and your pets.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a Happy New Year! May your days be filled with love, laughter, and perhaps a few extra treats for your furry companions.

Thank you again for being the best clients I could ask for. Here’s to another year of happy hounds and wagging tails!

Back to the Grind!
Monday Oct. 14th we will resume our services for regular clients.
Unfortunately at this time we do not offer any boarding or daycare services due to the Milton aftermath as our house is not safe to take in more animals.

If you need to cancel any scheduled visits or require additional assistance due to the storm, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m here to help and can make adjustments to accommodate any changes in your plans.

In case of an emergency, we also have the capacity to board pets. Please let me know if this is something you may need, and we’ll do everything we can to ensure your pets are safe and comfortable.

As the season winds down and we prepare for fall and winter, I wanted to reach out with some important updates regarding my upcoming availability.

As always, fall and winter tend to book up quickly, so I encourage everyone to plan ahead for their upcoming trips or needs. Please note the following dates of limited or no availability:

October 24th to October 29th: I’ll be unavailable due to my birthday and hosting guests from out of the country. Limited availability applies on certain days. Please send a message for further questions.
November 25th to December 1st (Thanksgiving Week): No availability during this period.
December: There is still plenty of availability for bookings, so feel free to reach out soon to secure your preferred dates.
January 13th to January 29th, 2025: Limited or no availability, subject to change as dates are not fully set yet.

If you are in need of pet care during the period I'm unavailable, let me know! I can refer you to trusting pet sitters in the brandon/valrico area.

Given the busy holiday season, I won’t be able to accommodate last-minute visits. If you are planning any trips during this time, please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Hi there,

My name is Luna, and I'm on a quest to find my forever home. One of Nika's clients found me wandering around a neighbourhood. I was in quite a rough state – dirty, full of fleas, and my little ears were in bad shape from all the scratching and itchiness. But thanks to Nika and her wonderful friends, I'm now doing really well!

I recently visited the vet, where I received all my shots, anti-flea, and worm medication. Now, I'm a happy and healthy little girl, ready to bring joy to a loving family.

People say I look like a mix between a Dachshund and a Dalmatian. I weigh around 27 lbs and am known for being super sweet and affectionate. I might be a little shy at first and need some time to warm up to other pets, but once I trust you, I love to play and have the Zoomies!

I’m collecting $800 until 05/31/2024 for Kitties Vet bill. Can you help?
On my way to work I came across a little calico cat laying in the middle of the road.
she's obviously been hit by a car but nobody stopped to help her, so i took it upon myself to halt traffic and pick her up.
I immediately drove to the emergency vet where we checked for a microchip but she didn't have one. As she was declared a stray, I decided to claim her and try to help where I could so she could get a chance at life. After paying $600 to get her stabilized and xrays taken we had a better idea of what we were dealing with. unfortunately her pelvis was fractured so badly, that she lost all feeling in her hind legs as well as her bladder and bowelmovement. The Dr said that there was maybe a 10% chance to regain movement but she may never be able to use the bathroom like a normal kitty. If we would've gone with the surgery, the cost would've fallen somewhere around $8k.
We made the decision that euthanasia was the most humane thing to do and stayed with her until the very last breath.
Unfortunately that also cost another $250.
Rescuing animals is not cheap but the ones who don't have a voice deserve help too.
If you would like to donate to help me cover the cost, I'd be incredibly grateful.
