She has been in love with dogs since before she can remember. Always having a dog while growing up has been a blessing, and has given her the passion and confidence in working with them professionally. She has had experience in working with large packs off leash, which involves pack training as well as one-on-one training. She is a certified veterinarian assistant and has been in the Veterinary me
dical field in the past. Her other strong passion lays in holistic and natural remedies, so she has educated herself on natural healing for dogs mainly using essential oils. (You can check out page for more on that!) On Allie's hikes safety, and of course fun, are the number one priority. Every dog and situation is different, but using her experiences and knowledge she confidently makes powerful decisions in every situation to keep your dog happy and safe. She treats every dog like her own, and understands these are your fur babies we're working with here! Even Allie's puggle, Taya joins in on the fun!

I managed to get some selfies with the dogs this week cause I was starting to miss them already! (Phone died today so none of the Thursday crew ☹️) Turns out more often than not when you bring it in for a photo you get bombarded with kisses from chin to forehead!! Some turned out though. 🙂 Thanks again everyone and I hope you enjoy a beautiful holiday season! 🎄

I have so been putting off making this post for a while now but here it goes! For those of you who don’t know this week will be my last week of hiking with Pawsitive Treks for the foreseeable future. After 5 years on the trails I have decided to take a step back and focus on spending time with Nova and my family, as well as focus on other projects of mine. I am SO excited to see what will unfold for me next but of course it is a bittersweet (and tbh emotional!) feeling as this chapter in my life comes to an end! I will be forever grateful for the connections I have made throughout the years with clients, fellow doggy lovers, and other great people in the industry. I sincerely thank you for all I have learned from you, your kindness, love, and “THANK-YOU’s!” yelled from the top of the stairs as I drop of your dogs. I will always cherish this time in my life and I know it has served me in ways I can’t even comprehend yet. So much Love from Allie, Paul, Nova, Taya and of course Guinness. ❤️❤️❤️

We were fortunate enough to get an actual break in clouds today during our walk! The dogs and I really don’t mind the rain but it’s nice to catch a break sometimes! And that blue sky 😍🙏🏻

2 years ago we went down the Oregon Coast to run the by and Paul and I loved it so much we swore we would go back the next year! As life happens and plans change it’s needless to say we didn’t run it last year.. 👶🏼 But I am excited to say that this weekend I will be going back to enjoy this beautiful course! A loving reminder to my clients that I will be away now until October 22 enjoying the experience! Wish me luck ❤️🌲🏃🏻♀️

A few shots from our wedding a couple of weeks ago... Still in a state of euphoria! Although it rained right when the ceremony was scheduled to start and my dress got really muddy and snagged on everything... It was just so classic us. 💕🌲

Nova loves her Guinney 💕 (ps - the laundry basket bed is where it’s at while *attempting* to get laundry folded while living in a trailer! 🤦🏻♀️😂)

My Story
Hi I'm Allie Zurowski
Originally from Kelowna, I jumped on the ferry and moved to Victoria in 2013 not fully understanding what would be in store for me here. Since then Vancouver Island has completely stolen my heart. The ocean, people, parks, trails, wildlife, weather, and ALL of the dogs have been factors, along with much more.
I began my professional journey with animals in 2013, when I earned my Veterinary Assistant Certificate. I quickly realized that the office environment just wasn't for me and I sought after something else... anything else that involved dogs. That's when I began dog walking. But not just walking... Hiking. In the woods. Off leash. Best job ever?! Yeah, I know. I have learned a LOT through my experiences and have worked with a couple of different trainers on training techniques to implement out on the hikes. I have also completed a "Natural Pet Care Certificate" in 2015 which gave me the knowledge I needed to start Pawsitive Scents, and to be able to better take care of my pups in general.
It is important to me that everyone who owns a dog, has a healthy and happy dog. I am committed to my clients and treat every one of them like were mine. Speaking of which, I have two beautiful fur babes of my own. Taya is an 11 year old puggle with nothin' but sass, and Guinness is my Frenchton pup who loves to play with his toys, and has the happiest little wiggle butt I have ever seen. We started working on Agility with Guinness at the end of 2017 and that has been super fun!
