She has been in love with dogs since before she can remember. Always having a dog while growing up has been a blessing, and has given her the passion and confidence in working with them professionally. She has had experience in working with large packs off leash, which involves pack training as well as one-on-one training. She is a certified veterinarian assistant and has been in the Veterinary me

dical field in the past. Her other strong passion lays in holistic and natural remedies, so she has educated herself on natural healing for dogs mainly using essential oils. (You can check out page for more on that!) On Allie's hikes safety, and of course fun, are the number one priority. Every dog and situation is different, but using her experiences and knowledge she confidently makes powerful decisions in every situation to keep your dog happy and safe. She treats every dog like her own, and understands these are your fur babies we're working with here! Even Allie's puggle, Taya joins in on the fun!

My Story

Hi I'm Allie Zurowski

Originally from Kelowna, I jumped on the ferry and moved to Victoria in 2013 not fully understanding what would be in store for me here. Since then Vancouver Island has completely stolen my heart. The ocean, people, parks, trails, wildlife, weather, and ALL of the dogs have been factors, along with much more.

I began my professional journey with animals in 2013, when I earned my Veterinary Assistant Certificate. I quickly realized that the office environment just wasn't for me and I sought after something else... anything else that involved dogs. That's when I began dog walking. But not just walking... Hiking. In the woods. Off leash. Best job ever?! Yeah, I know. I have learned a LOT through my experiences and have worked with a couple of different trainers on training techniques to implement out on the hikes. I have also completed a "Natural Pet Care Certificate" in 2015 which gave me the knowledge I needed to start Pawsitive Scents, and to be able to better take care of my pups in general.
