MEDICAL TREATMENT NEEDED

Marley is a senior dog living in a houseless camp with his senior owner who loves him very much. His owner contacted us for help because he noticed a mass developing on Marley and was concerned. Unfortunately, the mass has opened up, causing this poor senior dog pain and discomfort. We have given them protective clothing and pads to try to keep him comfortable, less likely to be infected, and to keep the environment and bugs off of him but he needs surgery for his longterm care.

Our volunteers have gotten him into the vet to be checked out and necessary blood work to determine he is healthy enough for surgery to remove the mass and have it tested, but we do not have the funds to cover the procedure. We are requesting assistance from our dog loving community to help us cover the surgery he needs.

If you would like to contribute to Marley's care, please visit the link below to make a monetary contribution. If you are unable to donate but want to help, please give the post a share to get Marley's story to a wider audience.

Last Sunday we teamed up with Mission Aloha Foundation for a pop up say and neuter event at a west side camp. During our outreach the previous weekend, we found unchecked overpopulation and a community seeking help. Our friends at Mission Aloha heard the call and immediately agreed to help. 35 dog were spayed or neutered, a majority were female dogs. That prevents HUNDREDS of unwanted pets!
If you would like to contribute to our fight against overpopulation population and help keep these events going, please visit the link below.

Thank you to the hard working veterinary professionals from Mission Aloha, we are so grateful for your team!

📣FOSTER NEEDED
Meet Benny! We met this handsome guy Saturday during our tent to tent spay and neuter event. Benny is Lastly's brother (the dog from our previous post). Their owner left and unfortunately abandoned him along with 6 other dogs to fend for themselves. He is approximately 2 years old, 30lbs, and was neutered last Saturday. Camp residents have been caring for Benny and the other abandoned dogs but they would love to see him have a fresh start with a family that can give him all the things they cannot.

If you are interested in giving Benny a home, send us a message. If you would like to contribute to our ongoing spay & neuter mission to combat overpopulation on Oahu, visit the link in our below and comment " spay & neuter" in your donation.

📣FOSTER NEEDED!
If you are able to open your home to this pregnant mama and give get a safe place to have her litter, please reach out to our friends at Oahu SPCA

🚨URGENT FOSTER NEEDED🚨

This mama dog is going to give birth to her 5th or 6th litter of dogs any day. She is currently living at a homeless camp not far from our shelter.

We got word of this today when another amazing organization was doing their weekly outreach. Just like us, they are full. We are desperate to find a committed foster to give her a home to give birth in and raise her babies in.

Please call us at 808-754-1510 or 808-754-1519 as soon as possible if you can foster her. Ideally we would find placement within the next few hours so we can pick her up before the end of the day.

An update on Caesar that we did not want to make. After a very rough night and showing continued decline, Caesar was seen by the neurologist at VERC. His condition and injuries were too severe for further intervention.

Caesar has crossed the rainbow bridge this morning. He was loved by our organization since he was a puppy and was not alone in his final moments. who has been fighting for him endlessly since he was attacked, was by his side.

We are devastated to have to bring this news to our wonderful community that came together once again to give an innocent dog a chance when he otherwise wouldn't have had one.

We are outraged at the senseless abuse that has led to Caesar suffering and losing his life and will not stop applying pressure to the authorities to ensure what happened to him does not happen again.

Thank you to everyone that contributed to his hospitalization and gave our posts shares to try to help him.

TRIGGER WARNING: Animal abuse is described in this post.

UPDATE: Caesar had a very rough night. His condition continued to decline. We were informed this morning that he was not a candidate for a CT scan and that his injuries were too severe for surgical procedures. Caesar has crossed the rainbow bridge. He was loved by his owner and our organization since he was a puppy. He was not alone in his final moments, was by his side. We are devastated to deliver this news to our amazing community that has once again come together to try to save an innocent dog that would otherwise have no chance.

Last night, residents in a large camp on the west side reported that a little dog our organization knows well named Caesar was beaten in the head with a pipe so severely that he was left seizing uncontrollably.

Our volunteers linked up with who rushed him to VCA to get immediate emergency treatment. They worked all night to stabilize him. X-rays from determined his skull is fractured in 3 places. His brain is swelling due to the trauma of the attack. Caesar requires overnight hospitalization and medication to bring down the swelling. He has stopped sizing at this time. His medical treatment has already cost $2000. We are looking to our amazing community to help us raise the funds for one more night of hospitalization for Caesar.

There is an open investigation into the abuse that Caesar has suffered. Residents reported who is suspected of the attack and offered statements. It was not his owner. We are hurt and outraged that anyone would do this, but our team remains focused on doing everything in our power to help him.

If you are able to contribute to his care, please visit the link below for our PayPal and venmo. We are combining funds with Hina's Legacy to ensure he receives treatment. If you are unable to contribute but would like to help, please give this post a share.

Linktr.ee/alohaanimaloutreach

UPDATE: He has been checked into VERC. We aren't sure yet of his chances, but we aren't giving up. Thank you so much to everyone that is helping us share and donating so that we can continue to try.

Update 845pm 28 Oct: We are absolutely devastated to report that in spite of doing absolutely everything we could do, Daisy's little body could not continue to fight. She has crossed the rainbow bridge. We appreciate the outpouring of support we have received that allowed us to make decisions to help her no matter what instead of being forced to give up her treatment for financial reasons. We know our posts have been shared far and wide so we will be temporarily removing donation links from our link tree. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.

🌼DAISY UPDATE🌼

Daisy's condition is critical.

The vet confirmed she is battling a serious pneumonia. Her little body is fighting, but her condition worsened earlier and we almost lost her. She is now receiving additional treatment to help her stabilize.

Our volunteer has put this treatment on her personal credit card, so we didn't have to give up on sweet Daisy. We want to give her a chance to fight! If she can pull through this, there is a whole wonderful life waiting for her with one of the many people that have applied to foster and adopt her.

We are looking to our community to help us continue Daisy's care. If you are able to contribute, please visit the link below for our PayPal and Venmo. If you are unable to donate, please give our post a share to get Daisy's story out to a wider audience. Thank you to everyone that donated so far covering her first night of hospitalization. We couldn't have gotten this far without you 🐾

🚨EMERGENCY VET FOR DAISY🚨
UPDATE: Vet has confirmed that Daisy is battling a serious pneumonia. She is being hospitalized overnight and receiving IV antibiotics. We will get an update on her status in the morning. Thank you to everyone that is donating to help with our mounting costs for her care!

Sweet Daisy has been rushed to VCA Pearl City by our volunteer. She became lethargic and was struggling to breathe. Doc believes she may have pneumonia, but she will need x-rays to confirm. She is currently receiving oxygen to help stabilize her, but we do not have the funds to cover all the treatment she needs.

If you would like to contribute to her veterinary treatment, please visit the link below for our venmo and PayPal. If you are unable to donate but want to help, please give this post a share.
