A couple more re-mounts finished! The before pic is at the end. It’s always nice to have the fresh specimen and be in control of the factors that go into each piece but it’s been an interesting challenge to reconfigure pieces and work with what you have available.

Remounted taxidermy Hyrax. Was fun to test out my remount skills. I modified a baby fox head form, I prefer to carcass cast skulls and build from there but it came out pretty good. The feet and nose didn’t rehydrate as well but it’s an improvement.

Taxidermy Nubian goat with the prettiest moon spots! Had a few slip spots on the face, ears and one on the back which have been repaired but do discount the piece a little.

Feels good to be getting some work done again. Finished up this little sweetie and ready to send her home.
