Dougie is growing fast! He had a joint infection around 3-4 weeks of age which we took him to the vet(it was the day that the hurricane had just come through in October). The vet gave him a shot of antibiotics and a few days later his fever was gone and he was walking normal. He still had one leg that was a little off when he ran but not bad. Recently he had another bout of a joint infection. More antibiotics but this time the fever and swollen lymph’s went down but his joints are still affected🥲

We take him for walks or whatever he is willing to do. He is still very happy and eating, so that is very important. We are working hard on healthy modules for his joint issues.
This can happen in Lambs if their immune system was compromised when born or if they did not get the colostrum from their mom. We have no idea if he did and we know for sure his immune system was compromised with his injury at such a young age.

We are so grateful and blessed to have him in our lives❤️❤️❤️

Here he is from this morning going with Kyle Woods to the garden to eat some good grass and weeds. He loves riding in the cart with us🥰🐑

You never know what might happen when having an employee/volunteer luncheon outside at the gazebo!!!
I was filming Kyle Woods baby bird Iris the chicken until chaos happened 😂😂😂🐐🐓

It might not be snowing but we had a couple snowmen and snowwomen make an appearance this morning 😂❤️🐐🐑

Yesterday Brittany Penny Equine Dentistry came out to work on the horses and donkeys. I did not get many pics as I was helping her hold the animals.
She did 20 mouths yesterday!! Most were pretty good!

Thank You Brittany for helping the Sanctuary Equine with their whole health balance❤️‍🩹

Did you guys know that most horses and donkeys need their teeth floated(filed) every 6-12months??

Their teeth’s balance is so important for their overall health!!

Even Worthy who is 35-40 years of age had his teeth done!!

Remember the Texas Kill Pen Ponies we rescued in the Summer of 2021.

There were 3 moms and their 4 month old babies who were super skinny and very sick. They were previously used as bucking ponies in rodeos, so they had little trust in humans and had a lot of past trauma.

Then 1 of the moms was also pregnant but we didn’t know right away.

The herd of 7 is now so healthy and happy!❤️❤️❤️

Here they are enjoying a nap in the sun after their early breakfast❤️❤️❤️

We are so Blessed and Honored to be a chosen charity in our community!!

Not only that, but WOW were these classes AMAZING!! Today we finished the quarter with a Yoga at the Ranch class and it was the most perfect day❤️
