Our Story

What is clicker training and positive reinforcement? Clicker training and positive reinforcement is a training method that relies on marking the desired behavior and rewarding it. The clicker is a hand held tool that makes a short clicking noise. This short click noise tells the animal exactly what its doing right. This combined with the positive reinforcement (food, tug toy, ball, etc) is safe, effective, and a very fun way to train with your dog mentally and physically possible of doing! My name is Destiny Reddoch and I live in Mexia, Texas, and own three amazing dogs' named T-Rex (Border Collie), Dakota Bear (German Shepherd Dog), and Ducky (Border Collie). I have always had a passion for animals since I was 5 years old and got my first dog, who so happened to be an 8 week old black Labrador Retriever whom I called Rocky. I have always wanted to become a veterinarian, so I could help people and animals. I just didn't know that at the age of 5 years old I would grow up to become a dog trainer, and still be able to help people and animals. I started dog training when I got my dog Banjo (who's sadly no longer here) on August 6, 2009. Banjo wasn't well mannered, at all. So one day I went online looking for dog training methods, and came across clicker training and positive reinforcement. I then wasted no time in going out and buying a clicker, and some treats the next day. Then when I got back from the pet store I began training and working with Banjo, and over time we eventually got to where he knew over 30 tricks and hand signals. Then after awhile (2 years later) I decided that I would love to bring a new member into the family, and so on July 27, 2011 I adopted my German Shepherd Dog; Riley May (sadly no longer here). When I got Riley May I started to really work and train with her, and boy is she smart. She learned sit, down, and paw in one day (different session times of course) just like when I first started with Banjo. Then after a few months of training and really working with her, I was contacted by Tracy Oliver of Top Dog Talent Agency (who I now proudly work with) wanting pictures, videos, and a bio of Riley May. I sent her some pictures, and some videos, and then was asked to bring Riley May to the ranch. While at the ranch and after showing Tracy all that Riley knows, Riley became back up for a Brad Pitt movie called Twelve Years a Slave! Then I went from there in my dog training career, still working for Tracy Oliver of Top Dog Talent Agency and running my own dog training business called Click N Treat Dog Training, as well as putting a Doberman in two Super Bowl commercials (2013 Super Bowl). Life has just been amazing since I was blessed with Banjo and Riley, as well as Rex, Dakota, and Ducky! I have fulfilled such a huge goal and dream in my life, and I couldn't be anymore happier than I already am!!
