I need great video of your horse. Just 20 seconds of your very best, of your horse looking awesome or doing something cute. You can send through messenger, Dropbox or WhatsApp. Now and until the time of the event send anything you think is good. The more reels we can put out the more interest we can create. 😊

We hope all of our youth and amateur trainers will participate in the Plan 4 Progress March Mini Challenge! Professional trainers are also invited to follow along.

The Plan 4 Progress team is excited to launch the 2023 program with the March Mini Challenge!
This challenge will provide you with some history of Forever Foundation and get you acquainted with the learning portal.
Week 1 Challenge:
GET IN THE APP & JOIN THE FOREVER FOUNDATION GROUP
For your first week, you just need to request access to the learning portal and make sure you're in the Forever Foundation group. (Look for the Mississippi Horses group while in there too!)
If you already have an account and can log in, you can skip steps 1 - 2. - Check your inbox for the original email with these directions.
Still haven't requested access to the portal? Let me help you so MHR will have a list of those participating. I need your email, name, and the role you play at MHR. Also, the horse you will work with so you can be linked from the MHR account in The Equestrian app.

I NEED YOUR VIDEOS! We want to take advantage of MHR having over 114,000 followers by creating reels promoting you and the trainers challenge. We can only do that if you send us original files of some of your best video footage. The best way to send it is through Whatsapp.com. If the file isn't too long it can be sent through messenger but you have to be friends with me on Facebook - Stephanie Huggins Billingsley.

Forever Foundation is hosting a March Mini Challenge which begins March 1. This is a great opportunity for new members on your team, and anyone who wants a program overview or an introduction to the learning portal.
YOU WILL LEARN...
An overview of the Forever Foundation program.
How to access learning content and upload assignments.
How to join the Forever Foundation group and post in the feed.
SIGNING UP FOR THE CHALLENGE
Team members should sign up for the challenge to receive weekly challenge notices and step-by-step instructions on how to complete each challenge. They will also have the opportunity to win a participation prize.

We have a grant through the Forever Foundation called Plan 4 Progress. It’s to help rescue groups train volunteers how to handle horses from the ground all the way through being under saddle. Weve taken it a step further to teach new adopters natural horsemanship techniques. if any of you would like to enter your Challenge Horse to get a feel for what it’s about let me know.
We’re really trying to push the program. Two of our latest adopters are having problems because they aren’t grasping the concept. I’m sure y’all have had a few clients like this.
Hey everyone...this is Julie. I just emailed the Class Descriptions with Scoring Criteria to everybody. Please let me know if you do not receive it.
We have another clinic coming up next weekend....Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 4 & 5. It will be in Canton, just north of Jackson. Doug Ford is our clinician, and he is looking forward to returning to help our trainers and volunteers after missing the last two years of our events. For those of you that do not know Doug, he is a wealth of information on how our tack choices affect communication with, and performance of, our horses....knowledge gleaned from years of study with many different styles of trainers and from 40 years of designing and making tack. If any of our amateur or youth trainers need assistance and support with your first rides, I encourage you to try to make it to this two day clinic. Doug will help you with your foundation checklist to determine if you are ready for stepping into the saddle, and has a good two man start method that will help ensure your success.
Let me know if you plan to come to Doug's clinic so I can reserve a stall for you. (There is no cost for the clinic or the stall, but we do ask you to bring your own buckets, feed, hay and shavings.)
Hi! Stephanie here with MHR! First of all, I am so proud and excited seeing everyone's videos! The public is noticing too - we have received 26 adoption applications in the past few days. That is a record number for us!
I'm hoping this page can be a way for us to communicate with one another. I know Julie sends emails but this will be an easier way for those of us handling publicity and social media to get in touch with everyone. We will use this page to make announcements for clinics and other events being planned between now and May 19th. So be sure to check here often!
