New Rig Tour: Part One!
I’m super excited about this little trailer! I know some people will see it as a major downgrade from my old trailer, but this thing is just so practical and fits my needs perfectly!
Look for tours of my new horse/dog show rig in the near future!
We’ve got some spicy visitors in the horse barn 🌶️🐈
Friendly Time Tip: Remember your Sequencing!
Hello, my name is Bruno, and this is my chicken friend 🤣.
I’m so grateful to have this sweet, goofy guy in my barn. ❤️
8:00 on a Saturday night and the pups are out 😴. We’re real party animals around here... 🤣
Restrained recalls with Banshee! As we like to say, ”he’s got mommy issues!” 😂
Sunday Funday!
Here’s Banshee’s 3rd session learning the “climb” command.
Who else has a RBF (resting b*tch face)?
I‘m always getting poked fun at for looking cranky. However, I didn’t know my RBF was so severe until my roommates sent me this video. I promise I’m just focused and processing the information my instructors were giving 🤣.
Who else suffers from an RBF? I know I’m not the only one!
I have a knack for finding barn kitties 🐈⬛ 🥰
Someone was feeling a bit snuggle deprived! Oliver loves going everywhere with me now, but he’s not so sure about being a working dog 😂.
Happy Paws 🐾
Here’s a snippet of my instructors teaching Banshee to pull on a harness! There’s actually several reasons why we teach this, even though most pet owners just want their dogs to stop pulling!
I’ve only been here two weeks, but I’ve learned so much, it feels like I’ve been here a month! Learning how to create engagement, train markers, and build a partnership is so rewarding, and so fun 💕.
I thought it was cats that liked boxes?!
I had some great help unboxing my 2nd RuffLand kennel this evening 🐾💕
Accelerate your progress (without a trainer)- Video tape your rides!
Let’s face it, some of us can’t afford to take lessons on the regular. So here’s a tip to help you progress faster by yourself. Video tape your rides!
I love watching clips of my rides from a few weeks ago, as you can clearly see where progress has been made, and what still needs work. When you don’t know what you and your horse look like, you only have what it feels like to go off of, which can only get you so far.
For example, in the first clip, Bruno felt amazing to me at the time. I thought he was bridled and collected, when he was, in fact, not. He was nosed out, and he really wasn’t engaging his back well. I never would have known that without a video!
In the second clip, Bruno was on the vertical and had a nice headset. His expression was also very nice. I would have liked him to extend a bit more at the trot and be a bit slower legged at the lope, but he was fresh, so I can overlook that somewhat.
Either way, my point is that by videoing my rides, I’m able so see where my weak spots are and focus on those the next ride. It’s not as good as having a trainer there with you. But it’s the next best thing in my opinion!

Stirrup Hobbles: A Quick Tip
Catching your horse doesn’t have to be an hour long ordeal, here is a short video on steps to take to keep your horse easy to catch!
Remember, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Even if your horse is easy to catch, I highly recommend following this routine to keep them that way!
