Just leaving this here for all potential new clients as I’m getting quite a lot of inquiries for stays.
*Please note I only offer sleepovers to current daycare regulars (dogs that come at least once per week for at least 3 months) I’ve had too many issues in the past with dogs I haven’t spent time getting to know first. So for the safety of other dogs, protection of my property, respect to my neighbours, and the happiness of your dog I have a very thorough vetting process in place and stays will only be offered once I’m certain your dog is the right fit for our pack and knows me well.
As a guide dogs must be:
- oodles or smaller breeds only (no working dogs or fighting breeds)
- vaccinated, microchipped, registered
-non aggressive towards other dogs
- desexed if over 6 months old
- social + good recall in the dog park
- non destructive at home including door scratching
- no barking or howling when at my place
- dogs must be okay with staying home alone occasionally for longer stays incase I need to head out (no barking/howling/destruction/door scratching)

I can’t believe it, more sad news 🥺 beautiful Molli (the Mol) passed away peacefully today. She was 16, my Dad and his partner’s doggie who I was lucky to see one last time on Easter Sunday. Such a lovely dog, she was happy I brought Lexi over for a visit 🐶 I’ve never know a dog to love Xmas presents more than her 🎅🏼 xx RIP beautiful angel x

Have just been told some very sad news 🥺 Miss Ruby passed away last night, just shy of her 15th Birthday 🎂 she was my first ever doggy client. Ruby loved sitting at cafes getting pats, loved her food and my niece and nephew loved walking her when ever she was over. Goodbye sweet Ruby we will miss you x 😇 🐶

Incase you didn’t know I also offer cat feeding services 🐈 if you or anyone you know who lives in stonnington is going away and requires cat feeding do get in touch 🐱 I have plenty of slots available for that.
I can come once per day for $25 or twice per day for $35.
Includes feeding/water top up, cleaning cat litter, daily pictures sent, play if required, happy to medicate if needed, and anything else required.

I have loads of previous experience feeding cats.

I Have just now been notified of little Ivy’s passing. such devastating news 😔 her family tried everything but unfortunately the cancer spread all over her body and they made the decision to let her be at peace 👼
She was such a gorgeous happy little dog and although she was only here such a short time she touched many hearts. Rest in peace angel Ivy. 🐶

Warning! I just found this broken spark plug on the corner of Rose st and Turner lane in Armadale.
These are very commonly used to easily smash car windows by thieves. I was also told a story today by my boyfriend, his work colleague bought a brand new car a week ago and thieves entered his home, took the keys and stole it. It was not covered by insurance.
They are out heavily at the moment due to Xmas and people going away and also leaving things in cars. I leave my glovebox empty and opened and nothing in the car. It’s also wise to leave the back middle seat down and the boot empty as they will also smash the back window and access the boot through there. Lock your gates, sensor lights on if you have them, I also have a pet cam I point it out the window when I go out and leave the tv on, I also hide my car keys and hand bag in not obvious places. These people also steal number plates and put them on the cars they are using when committing crimes. Report your plates stolen as soon as you discover it, but also don’t wait to call the police if you catch them as reporting their number plate won’t do anything to catch them.

It’s awful I know but we must make it difficult for them to get away with it!

Farewell Oodle Oober 🥺 at 4am this morning the Oober went to heaven. No one hurt, a P plater fell asleep at the wheel and swiped 4 other parked cars before having a head on with mine. All parties involved are ok, he was a nice kid, just finished work, nothing sinister at play. Until everything is finalised I’ll be driving a slightly smaller car. Business as usual just a bit less room.

Thought I’d get in nice and early to secure a booking.
This years party will be at The Lion & Wombat, Grey Street, St Kilda. On Saturday the 16th of December from 2pm - 5.30pm.
Like last year nibbles and bar snacks for humans and doggies will be provided by me, pay as you go drinks at the bar 🥂
It’s a modern looking pub/restaurant with an old English feel. I have secured the outside area and yes you can bring your doggies if you wish 🐩 (must be exceptionally behaved) As the space is quite small though we only has space for 30 people so pretty please RSVP as soon as you can, and if you need to cancel also pretty please let me know straight away incase a waiting list develops so I can offer your place to those who would otherwise miss out.

I have been given an update on our special friend Ivy today.
She has undergone surgery to amputate her front leg and has started Chemo. She will be doing 5 more rounds. Her family said this was the hardest Decision to make as there was no way to save the leg, they wanted her to have relief from the pain her leg was causing her and that she’s now doing so well and loving life again. Sadly the odds are about 1 or 2 in 10 that the cancer won’t spread further. Hopefully Ivy is one of the lucky ones and can rejoin us for some more fun times soon. 🙏🏼 sending prayers and love to you Ivy 😘

How fab is this, Im not the only doggie business in my family 🥳
As the days are getting shorter what about a special reflective doggie collar? Made by Melissa (mother to my niece and nephew) of . They also makes really special customised dog collar and lead sets with engraved name plates, as well as very swanky hand made horse bridals 🐶🙌🏻 check them out! A few of my buddies have these and they are gorgeous! Also a great gift idea. I’ll be ordering a few as samples if you would like to check them out before ordering x

Believe it or not I have bookings for most of 2023 already. Overnight stays will now only be offered to my regular daycare clients (those who come between 1 and 5 times per week every week).

A big fat WARNING about the dangers of grass seeds getting stuck in your doggie’s fur…. ⚠️

This beautiful boy usually get groomed every two weeks but over Xmas his grooms were delayed as the groomers were closed/booked out.

He was licking his armpit and seemed a bit off and began limping. He was panting heavily but it was also hot weather so that could have easily been mistaken for just cooling himself. The owners didn’t realise he had a massive infection caused by grass seeds that had burrowed under his skin and had been there for at least 2 weeks.

Dogs try to hide their pain, it’s a self defence mechanism so they don’t look like easy pray in the wild. So sometimes it’s not easy to spot their distress.

The infection grew to the size of bigger than a stretched out handprint, with lots of small abscesses in like a branched out network. They squeeze about a half a cup of puss out of him and decided he needs surgery to cut out a handful of damaged tissue and find all the seeds. He has just been oozing so much stinky puss.

It has been a very traumatic experience for him and also myself who found the infection on day one of his 2 week stay. Please, please, please check your dogs daily for grass seeds and burrs, and don’t rely on your groomers or dog sitters to do it for you as it could be too late and you will get stuck with a massive vet bill and the cost of covering all the bookings I’ll have to cancel to take care of you dog.

The infection was hidden under severe matting so it’s important to also brush them between grooms. Dogs that are observed as being constantly neglected in the grooming department by their owners can be reported by your groomer or myself to the RSPCA (I’ve know this to happen regularly) Grooming is a lot more important than you know, it’s a major hygiene and health concern for your best friend who depends on you for survival and a loving pain free life ###

reminder I’ve booked from 6.30pm until about 9pm. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead and quiet so as not to disturb other dinner guests and neighbours.
Parking wise it can get really busy so try Rose street, Beaty avenue, Clendon rd, Malvern rd, or Orrong rd. (not to be confused with 8 days cafe) is located next to toorak station where the apartment complex is on Evergreen Mews. If you park on the Beaty ave side you will need to walk through the station and it will be on the left next to the palm trees.
Food will be provided, pay as you go drinks.
