Labrador Retrievers bred for wonderful temperament, sound conformation and working ability in the field. Our pedigrees contain many dual titled Labradors (Champion/Master Hunters) as well as NFCs, NAFCs, and several Hall of Fame dogs. We believe in a well rounded Labrador that has correct breed conformation, strong retrieving and prey drive, and a temperament that makes for a perfect family companion in the home.

Indy and I had a great time at the Athens Chapter 0966 Pheasants Forever Youth Day yesterday, meeting kids, talking about wildlife habitat and doing a duck dog retrieving demo for the kids at lunch. Fantastic group of folks in this chapter!

Coffee on the deck with Indy and Lori and my "Cody mug".

Pretty sure Dad got this Re*****on mug, (stuffed with 250rds of .22s) for me for Christmas, the year after I got Cody, my first Labrador.

Its been my favorite coffee mug for 33 years. The picture of "Cody" is almost gone. But his memory will never fade.

We try to educate all our puppy owners on the importance of hormones and the real dangers of early spay/neuter. The science is clear. We just hope the vet industry gets on board soon.

Cool down time for the ThornValley LabraGirls.

With temps pushing 80⁰ and 80% RH by 8am, it's WAY to hot to be doing anything but some basic yard work this morning...and even that results in heavy panting and tongues shoveling, very quickly.

Keep em safe out there folks, this is definitely heat stroke weather. 🙏💛

Remember the 150 rule. If temp and RH combined is higher than 150, your pups are at very high risk of heat stroke with exercise. Even water work can get you in trouble when water temps heat up this time of year.

Today in history is a big day for ThornValley. 29 years ago today, our Cody/Hailey litter was born (the day after returning from our honeymoon cruise! 😆) resulting in 13 amazing puppies. One of which was Rowdy who lived to be 18yo with Dad.

Six years ago today was Indy's gotcha day, and our lives have never been the same. 😎
