In 2004 we brought home our first American Shorthair kitten and completely fell in love. She was a sweet little brown classic tabby with a grumpy looking face, and this little girl had a motor that just wouldn't quit. She had just the right balance of affectionate and independent, and we knew our family was hooked. Before long we purchased our first silver - a laid-back, silver tabby male from Ker
ry & Marian Schorsch in New England, North Dakota. These two sweet kitties, Hannah & Horatio, were the beginning of our journey with this incredible breed of cats. We established a small cattery in Southeastern Washington and called it Talariah [pronounced Tal-uh-rye-uh], after all 4 of our daughters - TA*ylor -- LA*uren -- RI*ka -- AH*nika. Here, we enjoy the privilege of raising up these beautiful young kittens, with the run of our home, to share with you. We specialize in the gorgeous green-eyed, silver tabbies, though our litters have also included an occasional black smoke tabby or brown tabby as well. We contacted Kerry & Marian once again to inquire about purchasing another kitten, but quickly we learned that they were planning to retire from their cattery soon and did not expect more litters. Those conversations, led to the marriage our two catteries. Kerry drove his best male, Mr. Silver Shadow, to our farm in Walla Walla, Washington, during the worst winter storms we had seen in decades. Shadow has since settled in comfortably here on our farm, where he will forever be a part of our family.
