Ruben being....just Ruben! 😆 poor Baritone is easily offended!
4 days old
Cobalt Scorpiion 😍
The double i is deliberate and in honour of a beautiful Arabian who died last year.
A beautiful addition born yesterday. Jinty has a c**t 😍
Jinty carefully waited for the only sunny morning but the weather turned yet again to cold, torrential rain, so tonight they are indoors.
Cobalt Drumlin 😍
Out and about
Little Tephra was able to come up to the yard for a dry bed to sleep off the deluge. She made full use of the facilities 😄
Today she was in good spirits for the half mile walk back to her herd 😆
Delta's filly...has a name 😊
Big hello to ...Cobalt Tephra.
She is difficult to photograph because she just wants cuddles and scratches but we have clicked a few worthy ones 😁 A big, strong girl and character to match. Hoping she will take after grand dam Maddi (Southolme Blossom)
Ruben , now a sophisticated 2 year old. 😄
A beautiful day but Delta's filly definitely not obliging with a pose 😄
12 hours old
And a very, very special girl 😍
Delta has a filly 🥰
Spring in the Highlands, a few beautiful days after the very long wet winter that we all endured. The gorse was smelling heady and Quarry (Tynebank Harry) took time to enjoy it on our relaxed 10 mile ride ! 🙂
Kerbeck Night Jewel, our Temba
Is 30 today! 🥰
Tems and I (Tilly) completed many many miles together in our younger years and won many awards. Including three 80km rides to achieve our Gold Thistle Final in 2009. She then went on to produce two perfect foals and has since been retired in a large herd. She did everything with her best friend Maddi although often not competing in the same distance at rides but always side by side at any other point. When we lost Maddi Temba was 28 years old and quick to take up the post of lead pony in a field of 11 mares having been Maddi's 2nd for 19 years. She still rules the roost!
She lives a much quieter life now and has access to the whole of Scotland for a few hours a day while she has her tea and grazes the roadside, often shocking passers by who rush to make sure we know there's a loose horse! The neighbors are fully aware of her afternoon adventures now and if she doesn't think she's had enough time out she'll beetle off in the other direction! Nothing has changed there!
Reminiscing the great times and hoping for many more birthdays to come 💜
2 year old besties re- entwining after a winter apart...the games continue 😆🙄

Happy Easter 🙂
Quarry is clearly miffed that the carrots aren't real 😄
A beautiful evening ride at last. So good for the soul.
Unfortunately the river we had just crossed was quite full.....saddle flaps full !! 😆🤣..the perils of riding ponies 😂😂
It's still a long wait until this year's foals arrive, so I shall make do with a charcoal one 🙂
I love this photo of Quarry. It was taken 8 years ago! But apart from him being a little whiter and wiser (?), it could have been taken today. 😁
A beautiful morning here in the Highlands but still feeling ill, so....I found a pen and started sketching. 🙂
Last weekend we took 2 youngsters, on their first ever day out, to a local indoor show. They both behaved beautifully and both came home with ribbons. So proud of them!

A rare beautiful winter afternoon ride. Flat calm, warm sun and snow on the high tops. Tynebank Harry thoroughly enjoyed himself 😄
Our oldest oldie Temba in silver splendour.
(Kerbeck Night Jewel)
Still ruling the roost at 30 years. She is a gold series endurance star, now retired and loving life in charge.
Brackenbank Ruben as lovely as ever and enjoying playing 'King of the castle ' today before the weather took a turn for the worse.
After the deluge and awesome power of flood water on Monday, today was calm and beautiful.
January in the North of Scotland can be long and depressing but this year January blues were joined by yellows, greens, oranges and even pinks!!
The weather varied from snow and deep frost to Saharan dust and everything in between!
We are now looking forward to February and the promise of longer days. 😀
Cobalt Cat has the right idea!
We endured Storm Isha and now have another forecast for tonight. 😬 Ho hum 🙄
Our homebred fell x.
Farigaig Patronus continuing her education, she was a model student as always, remaining calm and attentive despite disruptive attempts by her field mates and a constantly patrolling Tumblecat! 😀
Beautiful day in the Highlands.
Cobalt Drumlin continues his education. 🌞
Happy New Year !
Looking forward to 2024. May it be a good year for ponies and people 🙂
