Feeding the pack🍗🍎🥕🥩

The McBouvs eat a raw meat diet comprised of our home raised poultry and local raw dog food and is supplemented with whole grains, fruits and garden vegetables.

When required, we also feed a good quality kibble.

We also like to add things like coconut or avocado oil, tumeric, fish oils, kelp and whole eggs to their diet.

The pack loves their raw diet, meal time is always a favorite time of day at the McBouv’s!

Meet the pack! GEORGIA AND BILLIE
aka THE BABIES

Well they aren’t little anymore but these two girls will always be our babies. We were only looking for one more female to add to the pack but we couldn’t say no to either one so these litter mate sisters came home together.

Billie and Georgia are absolute gems. They adore being outside in the woods, going on nature walks, playing together and exploring.

They took quickly to pack life but also enjoy time alone with their people. These two beauties are tough and excel in high energy activities but also love sleeping by the wood stove cuddled up to their buddies.

They are very intelligent, obedient and sweet. Nothing compares to those big brown puppy eyes staring at you, they melt our hearts!

Meet the pack! HENRY aka the BUBS

Henry is our 1 1/2 year old male and daddy to future litters. He is absolutely the biggest ball of fluffy love and has been since he came home to the pack at 8 weeks old. He has adored Jersey since the day he laid eyes on her.

Henry loves to play with toys, spend time at the cottage, snuggle with his family, especially dad, and being with his pack. He was very easy to train and loves to make his people happy.

When mom and dad are away Henry used to gather shoes or items that smelled like mom and dad and sleep with them until we returned.

Henry is the most gentle soul we’ve ever met and if it was up to him would spend every day keeping your toes warm curled up at your feet snoozing the day away!

Jersey is our two year old grey brindle female. She joined our pack at 8 weeks old and quickly fell in love with our old man Jaxon.

Jersey loves going to the cottage, playing with the chickens, LOVES her raw meat meals and cuddles with mom.

What is a Bouvier des Flandres?

Bouviers originated in Europe as multifaceted farm dogs tasked with numerous roles such as herding cattle, pulling carts and guarding herds and properties. They were also heavily depended on during the Second World War to find and retrieve wounded soldiers, deliver messages under fire and perform watchdog duties.

Today the breed continues to perform their instinctual roles on farms and properties but also thrives in the role of family pet and companion.

The Bouvier is incredible loyal, protective, excellent with young children and other animals. They do very well in homes large or small thanks to their ability to temper their energy indoors by snuggling, sleeping and keeping your toes warm when at home and keeping up with active families when outside.

This incredibly level tempered dog does very well in cold climates. Their coats keep them warm during the winter months, dry during wet seasons and cool during warm summer months.

Their coat is comprised of a wired top coat and soft undercoat. They can be shaved down with no detriment to their coat for easy maintenance or left to grow out with regular brushing.

The Bouvier des Flandres is a non to low shedding dog. They do very well in homes with people who have dog allergies. They live about 10-12 years and have no breed associated medical conditions. They average between 70-90 lbs. Taking care to ensure the safe maturity of their joints and ligaments, as with any large breed, will ensure your Bouvier will have a long and healthy life!

The Bouvier des Flandres is the perfect single or family companion that will adapt well into most homes and lifestyles. Their loyalty and work ethic makes them the ultimate working dog, companion and family pet.
