Hello everyone! I apologize for the extended 'quiet time.' As some of you may know, my husband passed and I took healing time off for myself and pup Vito.

But now I'm back, and more excited than ever to help you train your pups! Young or old, happy or scared, I'm here to help. I'm currently providing private lessons at your home, or an agreed-upon location.

I was at The Urban Mutt - Brookfield yesterday, and was able to demonstrate how to introduce a dog to another dog. Sadie (brown) was a little nervous, so I let her pick the speed of interaction. I explained what the dogs were 'saying' by watching their body language. Ranger was very happy he made a new friend. ❤️🐕🐾

At The Urban Mutt - Brookfield. Team Ruthie was at other side of store and I placed TWO "Leave It!" items on the floor to surprise Michelle. She and Ruth did great! A 'Leave It' cue can be used for laundry, chocolate bars, other people or dogs, just to name a few items.

I went to The Urban Mutt in Brookfield today. One of the goodies I bought Vito was a spiral bully stick. I wrapped it around one of his old toys and he was busy for 30 minutes straight. He came back later to finish the stick. ❤️🐕🐾

We still have this little special happening that will make you smile: Will and Cook County residents get $40 off spaying and neutering in February. That makes it $45 for cats and $125 for dogs. Pets need a current rabies tag and certificate but can get one during surgery.
We are also extending FREE rabies and distemper vaccines for LINK clients and free microchips. Come on in to see us. Call for appointments at 630-961-8000.

I want to thank everyone who came out to see me at the Meet the Trainer event! I also want to thank Cynthia and Chad for providing space for me in their Urban Mutt stores!

Both the LaGrange and the Brookfield locations are very customer-oriented and have a family feel to it. It's so much nicer than big box corporate stores!!

Be sure to research the dog breed before bringing a new dog - puppy or adult- into your life. Think about your lifestyle and how you want your to interact with the dog.

Do you want to go hiking? Running? Stay at home and watch tv? If you prefer one of those activities but are expected to do the other, are you happy? Your dog won't be either, and that can be the beginning of unwanted behavior by you, and that your dog gives instinctively. Do research, google it, ask a trainer. You will be much happier!

Did you know dogs can see yellow and blue? So if you want an outdoor toy that your pup can see easier in the grass, get blue - not red. ❤️🐕🐾
