The hardest announcement I’ve ever had to make 🤍
After a tremendous amount of thought, countless conversations, and more than a few tears, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to permanently close State 48 Rabbitry 💔🥺
I honestly never imagined I would be writing those words.
What started as a love for rabbits grew into something so much bigger than I ever expected. I’ve had the privilege of raising so many incredibly sweet babies, meeting amazing families, watching rabbits become beloved members of your homes, and building relationships I may never have otherwise made.
This rabbitry has been such a huge part of my life. It has brought me an unbelievable amount of happiness, but it has also required an enormous amount of time, energy, sacrifice, and emotion. As difficult as this decision is, I know in my heart that it is the right one for me.
As we begin closing this chapter, some of my beloved adult rabbits will be retiring from the rabbitry and looking for safe, loving homes where they can simply be spoiled and enjoy the next chapter of their lives. 🤍🐰
These rabbits are incredibly special to me. Many have been part of my program for years, and I have personally cared for and loved each of them. Because of that, finding them the right homes is extremely important to me. My priority will be wonderful, carefully selected pet homes where they will be cherished and given all the love they deserve.
I’ll be sharing more about these special retirees in the coming weeks. These will be some of the last State 48 rabbits available, and they deserve nothing less than the very best 🐰❤️
To everyone who has ever adopted from me, followed along, shared my posts, sent me updates and pictures, or simply supported this little rabbitry from afar, thank you. More than you probably realize.
I am so incredibly grateful that I got to do this.
While this chapter is coming to an end, I will always be grateful for every bunny, every family, every friendship, and every memory that came from it.
