Important notice.

As I'm sure you've noticed, we're in a pandemic! Everyone in my home is doing a-okay, but as of today, I will be closing Scales and Tails Pet Sitting. Due to the lack of travel during the pandemic, we have not been able to thrive as needed, and unfortunately I still need to be able to pay my bills and feed my own furballs. This has been something I've been thinking on for some time, and I'm heartbroken to say it, as I've made so many wonderful friends and met so many amazing animals in my time running and being the sole employee of this business.

If you did not receive an individual message from me, I'm very sorry but I am thinking of you and I do appreciate your support!

I am sad to see the end of Scales and Tails Pet Sitting, but I'm thrilled to start in on something new. I've been hired on at a local business, and I'm very excited about it, so I hope you will be too!

Stay safe, and give your kids an extra treat for me!

We're moving! Sort of! We're packing up and setting up house just 10 minutes away from our current location - this will not effect our pet sitting reach, none of you have anything to worry about! However, while we get internet installed, we will be difficult to reach - so if you shoot us a message, it may be a day or two before we are able to respond. Hopefully we'll get it straightened out soon, but in the mean time, stay safe!

Right now, being safe is more important than anything else you could be doing. It's been very quiet out here at Scales and Tails! We've done some fostering, the skunks were released, but we're mostly just keeping to ourselves and watching the world go by. When this is all settled down - which hopefully will be soon, but we'll see - reach out! We'll still be here to take care of your fur babies, as well as the other non-furred kids around the house.

But safety first! Wear a mask. Get tested! And be kind. Times are scary right now, and we know we'll all need a vacation when this is done. We're spending a lot of time becoming one with the creek over here ....

It's been quiet but I wanted to reach out to everyone and say I hope you're all doing well during this hectic time, and to urge everyone to continue to stay safe! I'm doing just fine - pet sitting hasn't been as much in need, so I'm filling my time with writing and fostering kittens, which has been a lovely time. We were also briefly assisting with raising a couple of orphaned skunks, which was ... an experience!!

Things have been pretty quiet here! We're all staying home and staying put, but that doesn't mean we aren't busy! Since we're stuck at home anyway, we decided to reach out to the Humane Society of Dickson County to foster a litter of kittens. We encourage our followers to do the same! With everything closed, places like shelters aren't getting the business they need to support their animals. If you can't foster, reach out to see what supplies they are in need of, or make a monetary donation.

These guys won't be available for a few weeks, but we'll keep everyone updated!

The local Humane Society has stepped up over a large hoarding situation, and they could use some help! If you are financially able, donate. If you are physically able, volunteer.

Scales and Tails is absolutely devastated to learn that one of our sweet pups has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Maggie was always struggle to get clear photos of, as she could never stop wiggling long enough, and she was always a happy excited gal. She was a delight to care for, and we will miss her direly. Our condolences to Steve and Joyce, and to Cosmo and CJ who have lost a sibling. Rest well sweet girl.

I spent the week with some cuties. Particular favorites were when one dog crammed herself between me and the arm of the chair and the other dog sprawled out on the floor at my feet when there was a 5 person couch to sit on.

I'm not sure how they got the number, but the sibling who answered the phone took down 0 information so I have not been able to get back in touch about the questions. If this was you / you know who it was, please send me a FB message, as I am no longer home and cannot be accessed by that landline #.

I wish I had a better picture of this sweetheart. He looks like a raw turkey, bless him. I'm spending the week with two Peterbald cats and a very snuggly Great Dane. Love my job!

It's been a dreary, rainy week! Are your pets staying warm and cozy? Kieran is an escape artist and doesn't always appreciate her big comfy sweater, so she wears a second, smaller sweater to keep her larger one in place. Show us your pets staying warm in this cold!
