The Shores Dog Park has a yearly tradition where humans & their pups come together for coffee, donuts, treats, and playtime in their early morning session on Christmas Eve! This is our second year attending, and Styles just loves it!

I took Nemo out for a little pre-holiday adventure. . . which included a decompression walk, a little sweet treat, and time out of the shelter.
It was his FIRST #DogDayOut fieldtrip, so I was unbelievably honored to gift him a Christmas pupcup! 🍦
Nemo is about four years old, and is struggling from kennel stress inside the shelter (which is probably why he's been overlooked). 😭 My hope is that this video can show his sweet, gentle side and why he'd be such a great pet for any family!

I just can't say enough about this special boy! Being a Pittie mix, I immediately had a soft spot for him. He's also just the most gentle and loving dog, right away connecting with me and snuggling up on my shoulder in the car ride!
For our #doggyfieldtrip, we went to a nature trail, followed by a neighborhood walk. He LOVED saying hi to people and getting pets & ear scratches!
Sal is three-years-old, and January 2025 is his one-year mark at the shelter 🥺💔 My dream would be that he gets to break out (for good!) before that one-year mark!!

Brooklyn is our #ShelterSunday feature — a two-year-old Lab-Retriever-Pitty mix with the BEST energy! 💕
This social gal couldn't wait to break out of the shelter and go for our nature walk/hike! From the second we stepped onto the pathway at Rohr Park, she was ready to sniff, crunch in all the leaves, and smile at every dog that passed!
She's a positive girl with NO signs of distress, aggression or reactivity. She is still working on some of her leash manners (she gets too excited to stay on one side of the person walking her!) but that's nothing that can't be worked on. 😄😄
Based on her social personality, I think she'd do great in a family that's active or has other pets for her to be friends with!
She's such a sweetie (and looked SOOO cute in her bandana!). 🥺 If you're interested in learning more about her, just DM us or @San Diego County Animal Services!

Halloween with the boys! ✨🎃
This was Luka's first Halloween and despite some initial protests to the Buzz Lightyear wings, all was a success!
He now understands the concept of trick-or-treating, and while he doesn't get why everyone gets treats that he can't, he appreciates the head pets.

This was my first time cupping, and I feel like my brain was exploding with so much information! There is so much to the art of coffee — taste, aromatics, flavor, smell, texture — you name it!
Cupping is all about assessing the dry aromatics (the coffee grounds right after grinding), wet aromatics (the coffee after adding hot water), the 'crust' (this is is essentially the first 'layer' of the coffee after adding hot water and you assess as you 'break' it with the tasting spoon), and finally, the taste!
I had so much fun talking through the different aspects of the coffee tasting wheel. . . & I'm sooooo excited about what we decided on for the Pet You A Latte blends!

Come along for our senior pup, Styles' 12th birthday party at Canine Canyon Sniff Spot! ❤️🐾
First off, if you haven't heard of a "sniffspot" before, it's basically an AirBNB for dogs!!
We decided to rent this yard because it has soooo much space, plus a jungle gym, ball pit, trampoline, treat enrichment centers, 'Stick Station,' and even little doggy-pool! (And misters for the humans! 😜)
Here's what we loved:
🐾→ The hosts decorated the yard for us, and they provided some amazing photo-opp stations plus the CUTEST party hats!
🐾→ Styles & Luka got to sniff EVERYTHING (so many good smells!) and areas to explore.
🐾→ We added an upgrade of some 'Pup Cups' (dog-friendly ice cream) served in these adorable bone dishes!
🐾→ And we added bubbles, too!
We had so much fun & can't wait to be back!
