Buddy’s doing soooo amazing!! He’s been very calm and the only time I have seen him become aggressive was when an intact male came into the dog park and eyed him up. Other than that, he’s been amazing.

Buddy the wonder dog is at the vet getting fixed!!

Thanks to Kirk and Margaret Westrell he’ll also be receiving a through exam!!

Sad to leave him in a pound like environment but as a friend stated, it’s only for tonight and then he’ll be able to return to his loving family!

Buddy has been making some great progress and so I wanted to share some of his highlights:

He now will wear a collar, harness, muzzle and a training leash....though he isn’t too sure about this last one!

Something’s I’ve noticed about his tendencies have been he’s a very easy going dog with me...I can touch him all over his body and he isn’t good aggressive....submissive to other pets in the home....

Don’t pull his leash though....he’ll shut down!

Oh wait, some would wonder if this is a strength or not but there’s one more...
Buddy is insanely smart!! He has demonstrated an ability to get out of almost ANY confined space!

I will break these down in separate posts so it isn’t too overwhelming

This page is dedicated to the “hot mess” that is Buddy the dormer bully of the neighborhood!

Buddy’s a work in progress and this page will be a chance to show his progress.

Buddy was a neighborhood “pest” when he started breaking into my home....people stated they were afraid of him and his behavior which presented as a very aggressive dog.

I used to say he isn’t aggressive but I have since opened my eyes and now say he isn’t aggressive to those he knows loves him and will treat him right.

Buddy walked the streets being pushed from yard to yard and possibly attacked.

This poor boy never asked to be neglected or unwanted so when he reached out to those around him and they responded with hostility he was surprised and confused and in turn became “defensive”.

As many of you know, Buddy adopted “me” when he refused to accept that a door was a closing door which was meant to hold some out of a home/room.

Buddy would break into my home and sleep on the couch while me and my dogs slept in the bedroom...when I got up at 3 am) he would saunter out of the house without complaint.

Then in an effort to save this orphan from being a victim of the cold and lonely neighborhood I took him in to keep on warm and fed.

It wasn’t long that I got this once reluctant observer to feel a part of the family with quarreling siblings and a sometimes short tempered dad.

For a dog that was uncatchable by the local pound (20 attempts) he soon allowed me the honor of touching and petting him.

This is our story and hopefully one which help others see that a scary dog is often a hurt and scared dog who needs the chance to show he is love able and worthy of your time.
