UPDATE: we have seen the vet at VSH. Amazing people and very appreciative for the help. They don’t see this is an emergency so we are lined up for surgery January 9th 2024.

They gave us an estimate for the surgery but did say there’s a possibility lil Tuckie might need a second surgery. And many more follow up doctors visits as well as rehab.

UPDATE: she is lined up for surgery January 9th.
The vet had seen her this morning (Wednesday December 13th and made the final decision that this is not an emergency. We are super greatful that they are willing to do the surgery and we are going to make sure Tuckie is as happy and comfortable as can be until then.

I was contacted at 7pm on December 5th
At 7:18 I took the screen shot of the info and was n my way. By 7:48 we found her and had her safe with us.
She was found in the town at the abandoned baseball stadium. She was with a medium sized brindle male dog that we will be going back for.

She is one of 50 dogs we currently have in our care, that are in desperate need of help. We rescue when we can. We almost never say no to dogs that are in our town or the surrounding area. We don’t turn away dogs that have been abandoned, we connect with them on a different level and we are their safety.

I’m told Tukie had an owner who some how lost her, unfortunately she was most likely abandoned due to her health condition. We are here to ask the public to help us get her the help she needs. We will be posting her medical bills as we go through this process, for the time being we are trying to raise money for the initial medical bills as well as some of the other upcoming expenses.

Ruru is currently in the NYC area & in need of a foster / up for adoption! Ruru does well with dogs, cats, & kids alike, she just needs a little extra love & attention over the next couple of weeks as she readjusts to life in the states! She’s already spayed and up to date on vaccinations 😊

TW: ANIMAL ABUSE 🚨 A few days ago, Gabe was called to rescue a dog that was wrapped in barb wire and left for dead. He realized the dog was indeed still alive and jumped into action immediately. The apparent owners of the dog are now trying to take action to get their dog back, despite the severe abuse they’ve had this dog endure under their “care”. The local police don’t want to get involved in the situation and have told our rescue “to just give the dog back” even though this case is clearly severe and unlawful. The veterinarian Gabe went to wrote up her observations and confirmed that this case wasn’t as bad as we figured… it’s actually worse. Underneath his extremely matted coat is a partially healed broken jaw, fractured ribs, dehydration, fleas, worms, and a few other internal issues listed on the observation. Please share this post to help spread awareness as we need all the support / donations we can get for his ongoing care and to get him safely to the states!

MEET STARK! 🐶 This little guy is only 1 month old and is need of a foster or adopter ASAP! (He still requires puppy formula so keep that in mind) The rescue has been at max capacity so getting dogs to the states is an absolute must in order for to continue to take in rescues! 🚨URGENT - WE ARE IN DIRE NEED OF FOSTERS! 🚨 PLEASE consider opening your homes to a sato this holiday season! If you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll know it’s been next to impossible to get dogs up here the past handful of months. Between temperatures being too hot for live cargo shipments to the major lack of fosters we’ve been experiencing in the entire rescue community, it has been beyond challenging. Without fosters, we cannot continue to rescue the many, many dogs in PR that are still in need of rescuing. Fostering LITERALLY saves lives. Do a good deed this season and consider opening your homes and hearts to our satos ♥️ DM or drop a comment below if you have any further questions! 🙂
