K9 Freedom Ride for 01/01/25! 9 Tazewell County dogs and 2 Twin Counties dogs and 8 kitties got their Freedom Ride today 🙂 On 12/18/24 4 Tazewell dogs/pups and 2 Wytheville dogs got their Freedom Ride :) 12/22/24 2 Tazewell moms & 17 puppies got their Freedom Ride :) Whew, I think it's straight now lol. December was a super busy month and the old laptop was down (after the charger was someone's chew toy) but we're back in business!! Chloe and Coco were the sweetest girls and will make someone very happy

Goodby 2024!! We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who made this year a success! Thank you to every rescue, foster, transporter, donor, adopter, thank you all for believing in us :) We've had a busy 2024 and we're looking forward to 2025! Have a safe and Happy New Year everyone

Tazewell County Animal Shelter had our annual Santa Paws event yesterday evening and we had a blast :) Santa and his elf arrived and added to the fun. All of the animals were excited and got treats and lots of attention and it made their day :) A big thank you to the shelter staff and Cindy and her volunteers at Pit Bull Second Chance Rescue for organizing this amazing event and to everyone who came out in the snow to support the shelter animals and for all of your donations for them

K9 Freedom Ride for 12/11/24! 3 Tazewell County dogs, 1 Twin Counties dog, 7 Galax dogs, 1 Wytheville dog and 4 I-81 Transports dogs got their Freedom Ride yesterday 🙂 It was a cold and rainy day for transporting but the van was warm and the dogs were cozy. K9 Freedom Rides is doing another quilt raffle for our Don't Litter campaign to help spay/neuter animals in Tazewell County 🙂 We are raffling off this pretty 74" x 74" quilt to help sponsor this worthy cause. This quilt has a touch of fall colors and is just what you need on these chilly fall nights. This was handmade and donated by Cathy Lynch with Wells Auction Services and we appreciate them so much 🥰 Last month we were able to spay/neuter 28 animals! This is a win-win for the community and the animal shelter :) All proceeds will go towards our spay/neuter fund for the community animals. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and drawing will be done live Wednesday October 23rd.
