Ca$h had a good show weekend in Cheyenne WY. Best of breed and owner handler all three days. He ended up earning an OH group 2 on Saturday under judge Mr Gary Anderson and a regular group 3 on Monday under judge Mr Dell Richards.

He continues to challenge me as a handler. I had struggles with him on the table and at certain times in the group lineups. With the Australian Cattle Dogs and the Brittany that I also handle I can sort of make them do what I want. With Ca$h it’s more of a puzzle. If I get serious and stern it’s game over. If I put on a fake face and pretend like I’m having a good time, game over. I MUST in my head and heart be having a good time and then the little guy will work with me. I can’t get serious and if I fake it, he knows.

Last Saturday I was fortunate enough to have a judging assignment for the Elbert County 4H club. Thank you Missy Sorensen for recruiting me to be your showmanship judge. The kids did a bang up job and I enjoyed myself.

That afternoon I rushed over to the High Plains Kennel Club UKC show at Messer Arena just outside of Kiowa. Thanks to judge Lynn Martin my dog Dewy earned a reserve best in show. Thank you Karen Livingston for this beautiful Brittany.

Sunday thanks to judges Larry Hansen and Gary Anderson my Rat Terrier, Ca$h earned not one but two Best in Shows. Thank you Tracey Kallas for your trust with Ca$h. He sure is a great dog.

Thank you Amy Turner for washing and drying Dewy before the show so I could get him groomed and ready. I’m not that fast fitting a Brittany up for a show. It takes me a minute and the wash and dry helped me a ton.

Ca$h and Justin went Best of Breed from the classes in both show 1 and 2 today and then went Terrier Group 1 in both shows as well.
They are about halfway to their UKC Championship! Congrats boys!

Almost entirely owner handled except during ring conflicts.

Ca$h spent the weekend in the Pacific Northwest at the Rat Terrier National. We picked up a Owner Handler Group 3, 2 Owner Handler Best of Breeds, and a Select dog.

Ca$h has his first hat trick at the Casper, WY shows last weekend. 3 Best of Breeds, a Group 3 and an Owner Handler Group 3. Thanks to Mr William Devilleneuve for a breed win and OH G3, Mr Charles Olvis for the breed win and Mr John Wade for the breed and RegularGroup 3.
He even got to visit Yellowstone with me while I was working earlier in the week.

Ca$h had an excellent weekend. On top of yesterday’s Regular Group 1 and OH Group 3, he got a Regular Group 3 and an OH Group 3 today too.

Official photo to come but just had to share, Ca$h just won the Terrier group at the Plum Creek under judge Mrs. Lorraine Bisso. We are beyond excited to be able to present Ca$h in the Best in Show ring this afternoon.

Today Cash is one years old. He spent his birthday chasing whatever his nose would lead him to while we were all out pheasant hunting. Good boy Cash Money. You really are becoming a good dog. I’m blessed to have such a nice boy in my life.
