Foster found; thank you! She will be looking for a forever home in Denver tho!

One last final push to try and find a foster for sweet Bonnie before we pull her off tomorrow’s transport. Can’t anyone in all of Denver help foster her?🥺💔

She still hasn’t had any foster offers for her flight tomorrow and we can’t bring her to Denver if she has nowhere to go.

She’s a year and a half and is a total love bug. She loves other dogs and is potty trained & crate trained. She’s 49 lbs and is fully vetted. She does have heartworms and is on doxycycline. Heartworms are treatable and covered by us, and they are NOT contagious.

She was found dumped in Cleveland, TX (last two videos) and deserves a chance. 💔

Adopt me! Share me! Will you be Ari’s forever valentine? 💝

Ari, the most adorable 33 lb gal and is looking for her forever home. She’s currently being fostered in Denver.

We tagged Ari from the shelter within LITERALLY MINUTES from her being EU* due to lack of space at an overcrowded shelter. Can you imagine a world without this sweet girl?🥺

Ari is around 2 years old and is the perfect mixture of cuddle bug and adventure buddy. She is a social butterfly and loves other dogs.

Per her foster:
“Ari is a happy-go-lucky girl with energy bursts, playful curiousity, and a love for cuddles. She feels like the perfect mini German Shepherd/Husky mix for someone, with or without a dog of their own, who enjoys an active companion, but also wants a love-bug. She hasn’t met any cats yet but hasn’t show any interest in squirrels or other small animals. Ari is dog-friendly, potty trained, and highly food-motivated (which is great for training)!”

Adoption story - Cam 🐶

Cam was rescued from a shelter in New Mexico at the end of 2023. He had arrived at the shelter as a stray, was there for 30 days and his time was up 🥺 We saw his sweet personality and knew he didn’t deserve to be euthanized and tagged him to be an Up Pup.

He was adopted in Dec 2023 but was sadly returned to the rescue late last year due to a change in the family situation, and no fault of his own! He was welcomed back to his original foster home (thanks ) while he waited for a new home.

As luck would have it, we had some amazing potential adopters who had been approved in September but were just waiting for the right dog to come along. They met with Cam just before Christmas, fell in love and the rest is history!

Cam is now living the life he was always meant to live, spoiled on a daily basis with love and walks and toys and lots of cuddles. His parents love to take him everywhere with them and he makes friends wherever he goes! We are so thankful for the amazing adopters we have that see the same potential in these rescue dogs that we do ❤️ We love you Cam and we are so happy you found your forever home!

👑 Shira 👑

We have been spotlighting her babies, but now it’s time for mama’s own spotlight. Queen Shira is such a stunning girl! She was euthanasia listed at a shelter in TX for no good reason except her time was up. We were able to tag her and she surprised us all when she gave birth to a litter of puppies at her foster home.

Now that her babies are almost ready to head to new homes, it’s time to get Shira adopted. Anyone who adopts her will be so lucky. She is so sweet, snuggly, playful, great on a leash and just an all around good girl 🥺 She has been living in a foster home with 3 other adult dogs and has done well. She did come across a cat when she was at the shelter and didn’t have much reaction, but otherwise we don’t have any input on behavior with cats.

Unfortunately Shira, like so many shelter and street dogs in TX, is heartworm positive. This is treatable!! The rescue will cover all costs for treatment but because treatment can take about 3 months, we don’t want to hold her back from finding a home in the meantime.

Can you share this sweet girl so we can find her the best home? She is so deserving of a loving home to call her own.

• The 6 pups on the first collage are all ready for forever families and are fully vetted

• The second collage is composed of 5 of our “medical pups,” who are receiving additional vetting, which includes heartworm treatment (+ Hera). HW treatment is covered by the rescue

Gabby

Gabby arrived a few days ago and is settling into her foster home. Thank you Courtney for fostering for the first time with Up Pup so she could have a second chance! 🥺 We can’t say yes to dogs unless with have fosters 💪🏻

Gabby was dumped at a shelter in NM on Thanksgiving and has been there ever since. The shelter staff let her hang out in the office all day and night and she does great. She is also good with other dogs and has a very sweet demeanor🩷

Gabby is:

• Around a year and half old and is 40 lbs
• Vetted and heartworm negative
• Friendly, smart and sweet
• Dog friendly
• Appears to be fine with cats (foster has a cat)

What her foster mom has discovered so far:

-she’s totally fine with cats she’s more afraid of them then anything so stays away
-she definitely feels safer with females (warming up to my husband but prefers me)
-has a fear of coming in and out through the sliding door so we are working on making that a positive thing
-loves the snow!
-loves to snuggle and be right next to you at all times 💕

Gabby is the perfect mix of snuggle bug but also would love to be a Colorado adventure dog 🏔️

Puppy Pre Adoption applications are open! 🐶

Shira’s puppies are growing fast and are now 5 weeks old! They are the sweetest babes and are getting the best care in their foster home 🥺 (we appreciate you )

We are opening up pre-adoption applications for the babies in hopes that they will having loving adopters lined up to welcome them home when they are old enough. They will need to be at least 8 weeks and will have had their first set of vaccines before going into adoptive homes.

There are 4 boys and 2 girls. We think Mama Shira is an Aussie, Shepherd or Setter mix. Whatever she is, she is gorgeous and has a personality to match!

Let’s get these babies into amazing homes!

Help! 🆘 Denver foster needed beginning this Saturday for Zara! Otherwise she will miss transport 😭

With one of our other dogs, Misty, being returned back to us, we had to shift some fosters around asap to accommodate Misty coming back to us. However, now Zara is out of a foster and needs a foster to travel!

Zara is literally Scooby Doo in female version. Zara is around 60 lbs and between 1-2 years old. She’s a big baby and has so much love to give🥺

As you can see, the first video is where she came from. The street Zara was on had a neighbor who was poisoning the dogs! 🤬 The street feeder knew she was such a sweetie and didn’t want her to have that fate.

Zara has since then been spayed and fully vetted. Sadly, she’s heartworm positive, but we are treating her for it and covering the costs. Zara is being fostered with two other dogs.

We’d ideally love for another confident, friendly pup in the home, or she’s fine as a solo pup as well.

All foster supplies are provided and loaned by the rescue.

Meet our first intake of 2025: Gabby💕 She needs a Denver foster this Thursday!

Gabby is a super sweet pup who is described as “a very loving dog” from the shelter staff and volunteers.

She has an opportunity to come to Denver THIS Thursday 1/9 and needs a foster here please.

Angel baby, Maisy, is probably the cuddliest dog we’ve ever had. She is adoptable in the greater Denver area and is good with dogs and cats! She has not yet been around kids.

Adoptable Carly update!

Sweet girl just got spayed and is settling in nicely with her foster family in Houston. She’ll be making her way to Denver very soon, and we are so excited to meet her!

Adoptable Dahlia!💕

Dahlia is looking for a forever home in the greater Denver area. She’s a total love bug and everyone who meets her just adores her - dogs and humans alike!

Dahlia was rescued literally within 30 minutes of being EU* at an overcrowded shelter in Texas due to lack of interest and space - despite being volunteer and staff favorite!

At 44 lbs and 2 years old, she is full grown. She has been fully vetted as well and is currently residing in Denver, at her foster home. 🏠

Per her foster:
“Traits: she’s goofy, SUPER cuddly, plays well with other dogs. Can be high energy and want to play but also is always down for some couch snuggle time. Is a little nervous when first meeting someone new, but after a few minutes she’s melting on your lap. 100% potty trained. Would do best with a family that already has a confident dog so she can take their lead!”

Dahlia is unfortunately heartworm positive, but luckily this is treatable and is NOT contagious to other dogs. Dahlia is currently undergoing treatment, which is paid for by Up Pup.

Puppy spam! 🐶♥️

Let’s take a moment to fully appreciate these amazing puppy pics 😍 Thanks !!

Mama Shira and her 1 month old babies are loving life in their foster home. They are doing a lot of sleeping, eating, and are starting to have longer playtime windows in between. They are of course getting lots and lots of cuddles with their foster family and are starting to reveal their adorable personalities. They are the sweetest little babes. Mama Shira continues to take motherhood in her stride and whoever adopts her is going to be so lucky! She has such a lovely disposition ♥️ She was pulled from the euthanasia list at a shelter in TX last month, and surprised us with her little cubs (4 males and 2 females) shortly after leaving the shelter.

Although these babies are not currently available to go into new homes until they have their first round of vaccines at 8 weeks old, we will be accepting pre-adoption applications next week. If you are an approved adopter, feel free to DM your interest. New applicants can apply via our website - www.uppupandaway.org. Meet and greets will only happen once an applicant is approved as an adopter.
