Look at all the pictures please!
Lets talk about prong collar.
The prong should be on the upper to middle neck depending on how sensitive the dog is to the collar.
It should be fitted to where you can fit a finger or to in between the prong and the neck, It is supposed to be snug. If the prong collar slips down alot i would recommend getting a smaller size (probably a 2.25) or getting a thick collar and put it on snug right up to the prong collar.
The prong collar should always have another collar on with the dog with some type of attachment to the prong collar.
DO NOT and i mean do not tie your dog up with a prong! This is why prong collars have such a bad name because of the people that dont use them correctly!
Other training tools i will be explaining and rating.
No pull harness: works good have used on our JRT 10/10
CHAIN MARTINGALE: wouldn’t use except for tags and emergencies
HARNESS : Encourages pulling 3/10 but if the harness is made for pulling its fine 8/10
BUCKLE COLLAR: wouldn’t use except for tags and emergencies
SLIP COLLAR: wouldn’t use except for tags, emergencies, and this is what i use when walking with the prong as another collar because how adjustable it is, so it works as a good safety attachment
DOMNINANT COLLAR: never used but looks like a good safety attachment for the prong collar
Regular martingale: wouldn’t use except for tags and emergencies
GENTLE LEADER/HALTI: dont use! It messes up nerves in the dogs nose, causes pain in any movement the dog makes!
STARMARK MARTINGALE: never used before but it seems like it works fine and is a good training tool
