Please donate to this great rescue. We will be taking care of Ms Scarlett’s expenses for our adopt a dog month donation! There are still some appointments left this month to help us with making this donation! Get those pups fresh for Halloween!

As an animal lover, we are sure you have heard similar pleas from other animal welfare organizations and, frankly, other non-profits across the nation… monetary donations have been down drastically this year. Life-saving funds aren’t coming in, which means we are limited in our ability to help dogs that need us. We understand that times are tough, and we appreciate any amount you are able to spare.
Here is a look at some special dogs currently in our care that your donations will help…
Earl was at risk of euthanasia at ACCT due to overcrowding and medical concerns. He has been in a loving foster home while he recovered from an upper respiratory infection, gained some much-needed weight, and underwent surgery for dental issues and mass removals. His road to recovery has been a rocky one, and he isn’t out of the woods yet. Vet care cost to date: $2,641.56
Mia came to us after her human mom passed away. She arrived with a mass on her eyelid and several mammary masses. She needed to be spayed, have a dental cleaning, and have the various masses removed and sent for biopsy (results were benign - yay!). She's now recovering in a foster home and preparing for adoption.
Vet care cost to date: $2,023.20
Scarlett was surrendered to us by a breeding kennel when she was no longer wanted for breeding purposes. She needed to be spayed, have dental work, and tested positive for heartworm. She is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and will be available for adoption once she's been fully treated. Vet care cost to date: $1,446.90
An urgent CODE RED plea was put out to rescues by ACCT Philly when Douggy arrived in need of medical care. He came to us with severe pruritus, flea allergy dermatitis, skin infections, dental disease, partial cataracts, and muscle wasting and weakness in his hind end making it difficult for him to walk. Douggy needed comprehensive blood work, was started on medication for pain and inflammation for osteoarthritis, and began treatment for his skin infections and itchiness. After he was feeling better, he underwent dental surgery and was neutered. Vet care cost to date: $622.78
Maggie arrived to us very underweight after being found stray with her best friend, Violet. While at our vet for her wellness exams, Maggie had a seizure. Thankfully, our skilled vet was able to stabilize her. She has been started on anti-seizure medication and will be reassessed in a few weeks. Our hope is that once Maggie is stable, we can spay her and address her dental issues, then find her a loving home with Violet. Vet care cost to date for both: $1,503.08
Any amount, big or small, will make an impact on our life-saving efforts. Please consider helping if you can.
