Tuxu is back at the fosterers ❤️ He needed 4 teeth extracted. He has antibiotics for the next few days. Please if you are considering to adopt him let us know before we release him❤️ Thank you to those who messaged to see how he is. A huge thank you to his feeder Diona for paying his bill, Marisabelle for dropping him off and Michelle Barbara for picking him up and fostering him ❤️
Here he is enjoying his first dinner after surgery. He ll get another portion later on as he is pissed off that we didn't give him breakfast this morning 🫣
Anyone from Gebel San Martin, Tuxu is in our care. Tomorrow he has dental surgery as he has around 4 rotten teeth which need to be removed asap as his mouth is infected. He already started antibiotics. If anyone is interested in adopting him and letting him live the rest of his life indoors please let us know. He would be truly grateful! He has settled indoors very well..he loves yummie food and a cushion oh and lots of affection 😻
Sweet Nero just tested positive for FIV 😢 He tested negative for FELV, giardia, parvo and corona. Would anyone consider adopting him as an only cat or perhaps with another FIV positive cat? We are still under shock as he is such a healthy cat with silky soft fur. He was only trapped as he managed to cut his paw but it is almost healed. Thank you to his feeder Dayna Camilleri Clarke who covered his vet bills and who will be keeping him for recovery and in the meantime we hope to find him an amazing home 😻 He is neutered, dewormed and deflead.
Tomorrow we'll be taking Tuxu to the vet as he badly needs a checkup. He is such a loving boy ❤️ Thank you to his feeder Diona for taking care of her colonies although she is injured! Thank you Hugs Charity Shop as without the recovery cages you sponsored we wouldn't have a spare cage for him ❤️
Goodnight from sweet Poppy and Archie ❤️ Poppy was an ex Zejtun Stray adopted as an adult a few months ago once we had her vet checked and neutered and she settled in immediately. Her adoptive parents had adopted Archie a few weeks before her. They weren't always this close but look at them now ❤️ We have been helping Zejtun Stray Cats for years but now thanks to our page we can share these happy endings with you all ❤️ Thank you to her family and everyone involved while Poppy was in our care and her feeder Mandy Attard and Second Chance ❤️ We are so relieved that they will not be spending this winter outdoors!
Unfortunately we are almost out of recovery cages :( Sometimes we end up medicating cats without fostering them with the vet's guidance. This is the case with Mona. She suffers from skin irritation and requires steroids at least once a year. We have tried keeping her in a recovery cage in the past but she gets so stressed she has to take medication to calm her down. We are hoping that the steroids will help clear her wound which she self inflicts by excessive licking due to itchiness. If we see it is not enough we'll trap her but she has her own kennel so we are hoping she won't get wet as that would make it worse ❤️
Oreo (black and white) and Bounty had their follow up appointment due to the issue with their teeth. They need to continue another 10 days of treatment then have another checkup. Otherwise the vet is very happy with their weight and here they are ❤️ Anyone interested in adopting them please let us know as they don't deserve to be put outside again. They are around 3-4 months old, have been deflead and dewormed. They can use the litter. See their individual videos in the comments section ❤️
Oreo's mouth is already so much better!! We hope they make a full recovery as they sure are special 😻😻
Well done to our raffle winners 🏆 They have been contacted so later on this week we can meet up ☺️ Unfortunately we didn't have many participants this time. Hope for more next time 😃
Isn't Emily (the white cat) amazing with her brother Theo ❤️ She was trapped and neutered from Zejtun and found a loving home with Elsa Andrea Messi ❤️ We are so grateful that she got her happy ending 🥰
Ken hasn't joined one particular colony yet however we were happy to spot him eating this morning ❤️ Last month he was neutered and he has definitely put on more weight 😄
Seeing Ruffles groom himself for the first time in a while shows us that the pain in his mouth has truly vanished ❤️ The horrible smell he had in his mouth and drooling have also stopped. Come on Ruffles another week of recovery then you can be released back with your colony ❤️ Thanks again to Hugs Charity and his feeder Nicole Farrugia for covering his vet expenses!
Ruffles is eating without yelling out in pain 😻 This is such a huge relief as we were scared he was going to die from starvation. Luckily the injections given last Saturday have had a positive effect! We cannot wait to see what is concluded tomorrow once the vet sees his mouth and carries out blood tests while he is sedated. Good luck Ruffles! We are all praying for a speedy recovery as Billy your best friend is missing you terribly. So far 83 euros have been raised❤️ His bill will definitely be more than 100 euros but we are so grateful that people care about the Zejtun Stray Cats ❤️
Whenever we foster stray cats we love them as though they are our own and wish for a speedy recovery ❤️. Here is Ruffles enjoying a grooming session with relaxing music and calming spray and he can be heard purring in the comments section 😻 Since he is hardly eating due to severe mouth pain, we are using a syringe to force feed him some kitten food with warm water and he took some boiled chicken breast with tumeric with the water it was cooked in. We can't wait for his surgery on Wednesday to help relieve him from this pain as we hate seeing him like this 😢
Ruffles has not been his usual self since Monday evening. At first we thought he was afraid of the fireworks hence he didn't come over to eat. But on Tuesday a neighbour caught him and informed the feeder. She took him straight to the vet. He was given medication however he hardly ate so he wasn't taking the medication. Today he was seen again and given antibiotics and steroids via injection. After he tried to eat but he was still in pain. Next week he will be seen under sedation and operated on if any teeth need extracting. Come on Ruffles get well soon! Your best friend is waiting for you ❤️ Thank you Nicole Farrugia for covering his first bill on Tuesday. Zejtun Stray Cats covered today's bill and will try cover his operation and blood test next week.
Sweet Pearl has been vet checked and given her first vaccine ❤️ She will need a booster in 3 weeks time with her sister Annie, then a week or two later they will both be neutered and after a week of recovery they will be released back at the Zejtun Elderly Home. Annie has found an amazing fosterer. Should anyone wish to foster Pearl for the next 6 weeks or so please let us know as she loves being cuddled 😻
Mixa you will be missed ❤️ Today she was taken for a follow up appointment with her feeder Shirley who is going to adopt her 🥰 Her blood results are much better after her dental surgery as she is no longer anemic! The hole in her eye is healing but hasn't healed 100% so she is to continue with the plasma drops and doxycline for a few days. Otherwise she is looking much better ❤️ She just loves being petted and groomed 😻 Thank you Shirley for paying for her expenses today. Looking forward to seeing some updates ☺️
