This summer has already been HOT, HOT, HOT!!
Please be careful when taking your pups on walkies because just like if we were to walk around barefoot, they too, can get burns on their little feet!
Here's some great information to help you protect your pet in this heat! 🥵 ☀️

Our dogs’ paws are just as sensitive as our feet. Here are some ways to protect your dog’s paws on hot pavement (or artificial grass):

🐾 Check the weather and take precautions before you take your pet outside. Asphalt temperatures can vary with air temperatures, cloud cover, wind, etc. For example, 77°F air temp could result in 125°F asphalt temp - and it only takes 60 seconds on 125°F asphalt for a dog's pads to burn.
🐾 Place the back of your hand on the ground for 10 seconds: if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog.
🐾 Walk early in the morning or late in the evening when surfaces are cooler.
🐾 If your pet can easily adapt to them, invest in a pair of booties to protect your pet's paws.

Symptoms of paw burn may include limping, refusing to walk, darker than usual or discolored pads, excessive licking or biting of feet, visible blisters, extreme redness, and missing skin or parts of pads.

Y'all!!! This little guy is STILL AVAILABLE!! He is an absolutely amazing puppy! I promise whoever ends up getting to be his person, is going to feel like they won the lottery because his personality is just so lovely. He's got just the right balance of sweet and snuggly, balanced perfectly with spunky and playful.

He's AKC, has first shots and deworming plus is microchipped.

Hey all! Little Dude is still looking for his forever family!! He has his first round of shots, dewormed and microchipped! AKC registered. This guy is so sweet! He's going to want to cuddle you and play whenever possible. He loves to play with his sisters but also loves one on one time with people.

Hey
I could really use your help so I am posting this again. My puppy, Lydia, needs life saving medical attention but it isn't cheap. Not only does she have a cleft palate, but we have learned she has a mild case of hydrocephalus as well. It is very possible for her to have a good, happy life with these conditions, but she needs some extra attention to make that happen.
Since her birth, I have been told by multiple vets that chances are, the reason this happened is because the Pueblo Humane Society gave my dog, Ivy, vaccinations in the early stages of her pregnancy and it caused A. Ivy to struggle during labor, B. One puppy to be deformed and still born, C. One puppy to be too weak to make it past a few minutes, D. Another puppy to have underdeveloped lungs, E. and Lydia to have the cleft palate and hydrocephalus so obviously this all was a complete shock to us.
So please! If you can donate even just a tiny bit, it would make a huge difference and also if you could copy the link and share this to your own facebook, I'd be forever grateful. Your help could really make a difference for this baby.

Hi all! As many of you know, Ivy had to have an emergency C section and one of her puppies had a cleft palate and will need surgery when she's older. We got to bring Ivy and three of her baby beans home! Ivy is still unsure where the beans came from and why they're suddenly her responsibility, but if I get her to lay down and I sit with her, she let's them feed so yay!
Left is a boy, and the other two are girls. Still not out of the woods but feeling cautiously optimistic!

Hi all. Today has been rough if I'm being honest. Ivy went into labor at about 10am and she was pushing and pushing but just wasn't producing any puppies so we made the decision to take her to the emergency vet to see if they could help her along or if we needed to go the route of an emergency C section. Unfortunately, push came to shove and we did decide to do the C section. As of the last update from the vet, two of the five puppies were deceased and the remaining three are quite weak. Without getting into specifics right now, I'm not expecting to bring home all three of those puppies but Ivy is doing alright, she's still at the vet recovering, but they should be updating me on her in a couple hours. Hopefully, sooner. I'm absolutely heart broken that not only am I not bringing home all five puppies, but my heart also breaks that I put Ivy through this. She is such a good little mama, she really tried to get those babies out, it just wasn't meant to be. We still would appreciate all of your good thoughts and love for Ivy's speedy recovery and for the puppies, may it be that they pull through or at the very least they pass peacefully.
Thank you so much to Kelsey for being here with me through the tough decisions. Thank you Heather for watching Violet while we focus on Ivy. Thank you Mandie for your advice and guidance, and coming to the vet to get my mind off things for a bit. And thank you Melanie for being here for me in spirit even after having your own tough situation so recently. I'm so lucky to have such a great support group, I have no idea where I'd be without my friends.
I will let everyone know when Ivy gets to come home. Thank you all for caring about my girl and her babies.
