'The cats that live with humans are no lions or tigers. They are domestic cats of the species Felis catus, which is a species created by humans via artificial selection. They have, therefore, undergone genetic changes that have made them different from their wild counterparts.

Domestic cats may be more carnivores than dogs are, but with the invention of nutritionally balanced plant-based cat food (with added taurine, arginine, vitamin A, arachidonic acid, and the rest of essential nutrients), they may no longer be the obligate carnivores they once were'.
