Today is my Aunt Mer’s Birfday so this is a Mer appreciation post (plus a bonus pic of me 😝). My Aunt Mer is the best aunt a doggo could want. She always gives me hugs and kisses, she makes sure I get fed ON TIME, and threatens my mom if there are wrinkles in my blankey. Thank you for giving me a home to run away to if I’m ever mistreated. I love you berry much! ❤️❤️❤️🐼🐶

Hey friends! Austin Animal Center - the shelter who took care of Emmitt for almost a YEAR before he finally made it to his furever home - is in need of treats for their pups! I’m attaching their Amazon wishlist in the comments...it would be awesome if anyone could send them a gift, or share our post - either way Emmitt thanks you so much!
I don’t even want to think about what our lives would be like today without AAC, their amazing volunteers, and the handful of special people who helped Emmitt find us (you know who you are ❤️).

Emmitt had such a BIG day yesterday! We went to a benefit for Wags, Hope and Healing - Austin Area Animal Rehabilitation and Adoption at AeroCrafters (in Victoria) and he got lots of loves, bought his own dog treats with his own dog money from his own dog wallet (thanks to his dad ❤️ Dustin and some friends who helped make it happen), dined on a pupperccino, met some new friends, and worked on his dog-meeting skills (we still need plenty of work in this department). We can't wait to do it again 😀

So - yes - I changed the name of Emmitt's page...not because we don't love Austin, but because he's here to stay! I should have changed it back when we officially adopted him - but I never think about stuff like that 😂 Emmitt still loves all of you!

Yessssss...I'm driving and filming, but I had to capture his adorable flappy ear! It's only a few seconds!!! Dustin Orsak :)

Emmitt is such a silly boy! Whenever it's time to leave the house, I tell him to "go potty!" and he runs out the door, then immediately runs back in! (I'm guessing because he thinks I'm going to leave him) We did this about 5 times today and it cracked me up! I was just showing Dustin Emmitt's new "trick" when he decided to play with the water hose too. I just had to share. 😂😂😂

A little lunch time play session...and guess who played fetch!!!!! :D (I'm really sorry I'm so loud...I just get excited sometimes)

Emmitt has been RESTLESS this morning! He's been in and out at least 3 times. Then...he comes in my office - sits in my doorway - and just STARES at me. I ask him whats up - and he comes over to my desk - sits down - and paws at me! (something new) So - I figured I'd play along and said "What's Wrong Emmitt?! Well...show me!" I got up and he RAN out of my office - i followed - he paused in the hallway to make sure I was coming and then RAN OFF again! Paused in the kitchen and waited not so patiently at the back door. As I was opening the door I said - "Oh No! Timmy fell down the well??!?!" and he TOOK OFF again!!! Turns out - he just wanted to romp around in the crisp cool weather :)

Fun!!! :D
