Brand Story - Packaging

At Kompact9, we think that using single use plastics with packaging is unnecessary and irresponsible. All our packaging is made from either recycled or FSC certified cardboard and sealed with a biodegradable plastic tab.

Brand Story - Hygiene Cover

Early on we decided that if we were going to make a ball thrower that fit in your pocket then dog slobber would need to be addressed! So we came up with the hygiene cover.

All our ball throwers come with a hygiene cover, which is a drawstring bag made completely from recycled plastic bottles. Once you've finished playing: pop it over the top, pull it closed, put it in your pocket.

Brand Story - Manufacture

All our ball throwers are made out of 100% recycled plastic. This was an important feature for us to make work, so using some aerospace grade engineering we were able to come up with a revolutionary retractable ball thrower that is completely made of recycled plastic, right here in the UK.

Brand Story - Inception

Kompact9 was founded in November 2019 as a partnership between mother and son. When deciding what kind of business we wanted to be, we settled on 3 core values:

▪️ Family orientated, no big corporate attitudes and quality customer service.
▪️ Re-engineer a stagnant dog ball thrower market. Invent new and exciting products that solve real problems.
▪️ Do all this while minimising environmental impact and having a sustainable business.

These core values have guided our day to day actions from our inception and will continue to do so going forward.

We are excited to announce that 6 months after we got our first retail customer, we are now stocking in 30 pet shops around the UK with more signing on by the day! Keep an eye out for us in your local shop and make sure to give them your support, its been a tough year for all!

Aside from the retractable element of our ball thrower, one thing our customers love is how easy it is to throw with. We have redesigned the ball cup so it releases the ball more easily. Meaning you can use your ball however suits you, whether with a 'flick of the wrist', or under arm, you choose!

This change makes our ball thrower accessible to all, wether you've never been able to throw a ball before or are the best thing since long walks, our ball thrower is perfect for you!
