Unfortunately it's foxtail season again 😞 Foxtail plants are a weed-type grass that can cause serious problems for animals!
Ear infections, nosebleeds/rhinitis, pyothorax, abscesses and tetanus are just SOME of the serious issues that can come from these little guys! If you notice your pet repeatedly sneezing, pawing at their ears, coughing or acting uncomfortable, these could be signs of a possible foxtail and should seek medical attention as soon as possible.

I set this kennel in the back of a pickup for 15 minutes. Temperature outside is 89 degrees. Digital temperature gauge inside kennel was 104 degrees at end of 15 minutes. We pulled a large dog from this kennel in the back of a pickup ...body temp was 104.3 degrees! Please educate through sharing this.

NAHRA friends! Leatherstocking will be hosting an URP test at Vernon National on 10 April. This is a one day test, with SUR run first, to be followed by the WUR stake. It’s at a fabulous venue with an awesome slate of judges and will be a great way to shake out some of the winter cobwebs. It also appears to be, at this point, the only URP test on the East Region calendar.

The committee is trying to gauge interest as we finalize details. The test will be up on Hunt Secretary once we receive final approval back from Rosemary. It you’re interested in coming up, please let me know, and please pass this on to others you know.

We are offering basic obedience that could step up to leash free training. One on one at your home, Or stay and train where they will be in our home and also learn how to be part of a pack. We are also offering gun dog training for retrievers and spaniels.
