Hey there! Here's the first video of me working on scent-related activities with Demi! In this video, we are working on my alert to a certain scent. She hides the scent and the toy that I love the most under her foot, and won't let me have it no matter how hard I scratch and paw at it. I only get the reward if I sit (that's the desired alert). I am immediately rewarded with the toy and playtime when I sit. Stay tuned for more videos as I work hard to become a scent dog!!

Break is over, so now its back to work! I worked hard on crate training and the "wait" command over break but I'm ready to focus up on using my nose for scent work during free time with the foster mom and in lab (:

Over break I've been working hard at crate training. I got a new crate (a plastic enclosed one with two doors) that I like a lot better than my old wire crate. I stay nice and quiet when crated inside and this makes all the trips in the car a lot safer too!

Well, we ALMOST passed the CGC today (just one major hiccup). However, I as a handler have never been more proud of this dog. Since the beginning of the semester he has made some absolutely amazing progress and really demonstrated that today. Yay, Boston! We're celebrating with treats and fetch (:

Today was a GREAT day! I got my yellow bandanna, which means I am now allowed in public areas on campus such as the library and the campus center. I also was one of three winners for the "retrieve" competition. I picked out a tennis ball and promptly broke it, but I still love it.

We got to go to Murdoch's today for class and it was a blast! I did my shopping, hung out with strangers, and practiced for the CGC!
